  • Patent number: 6208100
Abstract: A motor overload coil control is disclosed for use in a motor starter/relay contactor. The control includes an 8-bit, 8-pin microcontroller that together with an I/O reduction circuit, is capable of functioning 13 I/O's with only 5 I/O pins on the microcontroller. Three remote signals are prioritized and reduced on one input line to the microcontroller. The control includes three-phase current measurement from three Hall effect current sensors positioned one on each leg. The system includes current integration to provide a single current input to the microcontroller. A full load amperage (FLA) adjustment allows use on a wide range of motors. The microcontroller uses the FLA adjustment and the current signal to find an appropriate I2t value for real-time monitoring of the operating temperature of the motor. A status indicator is provided having an LED output to show the status of the system and indicate the motor temperature, when appropriate.

  • Patent number: 6198283
Abstract: A system to correct edge blurring in an image reconstructed with partial k-space data includes a magnetic resonance imaging system, a computer, and a network. The magnetic resonance imaging system has a plurality of gradient coils positioned about a bore of a magnet to impress a polarizing magnetic field and an RF transceiver system and an RF modulator controlled by a pulse control module to transmit RF signals to an RF coil assembly to acquire MR images.

  • Patent number: 6173834
Abstract: The present invention includes a transparent dart case of one-piece design that is capable of securing darts, spare dart components and a tool for use in assembling darts. The present invention includes an integrally molded and removable hanging bracket that allows the dart case to be mounted on a rack for display without any additional packaging. The integrally molded bracket can be easily removed with minimal force after it is purchased. The present invention has a transparent first frame which is connected to a transparent second frame by a living hinge. Both the first frame and the second frame have a side wall which are mated together to form an enclosure which has sufficient integrity to protect and transport darts, dart components and dart assembly tools. The assembly is molded as an integral unit using a K-resin to provide ideal clarity.

  • Patent number: 6016057
Abstract: A system and method for improved water and fat separation in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is disclosed using a set of low-resolution images to correct phase errors with overall reduced scan time and post-processing time and enhanced reliability. Several embodiments are disclosed whereby reliable water and fat separation is achieved in nearly one NEX, Two NEX, or Three NEX regular imaging times. In the one embodiment, a regular image data set having water and fat phase-shifted by 90.degree. is acquired, along with two low-resolution image data sets where water and fat are phase-shifted by 0.degree. and 180.degree. are acquired. In another embodiment, two regular image data sets having water and fat phase-shifted by 0.degree. and 180.degree. are acquired, and a low-resolution imaging data set having water and fat phase-shifted by 90.degree. is acquired.
