  • Patent number: 7745014
Abstract: Getter multilayer structures are disclosed, embodiments of which include at least a layer of a non-evaporable getter alloy having a low activation temperature over a layer of a different non-evaporable getter material having high specific surface area, both preferably obtained by cathodic deposition. The multilayer NEG structures exhibit better gas sorbing characteristics and lower activation temperature lower than those of deposits made up of a single material. A process for manufacturing such structures includes depositing a first, high surface area NEG film on a support, and then depositing a thin over layer of low activation NEG film.

The tactile feedback device of the present invention comprises a housing having one end positioned near the skin of the user in use, an actuator, touch pins and an elastic means. The actuator is mounted inside the housing to convert electromagnetic energy into kinetic energy. The touch pins are mounted inside the housing so as to pop in and out, and the front end thereof is popped out of one end of the housing to contact the skin, and is connected with the actuator so as to be operated by kinetic energy of the actuator. The elastic plates of the elastic means are mounted between one end of the housing and the actuator, and have the touch pins fixedly passing through so as to be interlocked with the touch pins, and when the touch pins pop in and out, they are elastically deformed to have elastic energy.

  • Patent number: 7635128
Abstract: A sheet-holding-down member provided in a sheet feeding section of a printing press has a sheet-holding-down member that has a sheet-holding-down part that holds down from above an oncoming sheet to prevent a lateral edge of the sheet from being curled upward when the sheet abuts a lateral-edge abutment member. The sheet-holding-down member is pivotally movable about a roller support shaft so as to allow the sheet-holding-down part to be movable close to and away from an upper surface of a feeder board, on which the sheet is placed. An adjustment screw has a lower end that limits movement of the sheet-holding-down member so as to prevent the same from moving close to the upper surface of the feeder board as passing a predetermined height limit. The sheet-holding down member is urged downward by a coil spring.

  • Patent number: 7559464
Abstract: A method for providing secure transactions generates a Secure Card Number (“SCN”) for a first entity that is transferred with a first entity identifier to a second entity and then to a money source that verifies that the transaction is valid by use of the first entity identifier and the SCN. The SCN includes a Transaction Information Block (“TIB”), a Counter Block, and an encrypted Personal Identification Number (“PIN”) Block. The SCN is transferred to the money source in an account number or a non-account data field. The money source can use the TIB to determine whether the SCN should be used once or multiple times or to identify one of several physical devices, all of which are issued to the first entity, used to generate the SCN. The money source validates the SCN by duplicating the encryption process used to create an encrypted PIN Block and comparing the result to the encrypted PIN Block received with the transaction.

  • Patent number: 7549801
Abstract: A fluid sealing mechanism for sealing fluid being fed into a fluid pressure pocket formed between sliding surfaces which are formed on the opposing surfaces of an article being supported and a support for supporting the article, wherein a ring groove being fitted with a resilient ring for sealing fluid is made in the sliding surface of the support. Under a state where a regulation ring for preventing the resilient ring from jumping out of the ring groove is fitted over the re-silient ring, the regulation ring is fitted in the ring groove along with the resilient ring. When the fluid fed into the fluid pressure pocket reaches a specified pressure, the regulation ring comes into pressure contact with the sliding surface of the support along with the resilient ring, thus preventing the resilient ring from jumping out.
