  • Patent number: 7559324
Abstract: A conduit for a breathing circuit includes a heater associated, at least in part, with a portion of hydrophilic material. The purpose of the heater is to evaporate any condensed liquid collecting in the conduit, which is first sucked up by the hydrophilic material. The heated wick reduces the risk of collected water being passed to the patient and causing choking fits or discomfit. It is preferred that the heated wick lies freely in the conduit to settle at low points in the conduit where condensation may collect.

  • Patent number: 7540481
Abstract: A system for producing removable portions for mass-distributable packets by single-pass manufacturing, in which a printed web is slit into two ribbons, one of which is then folded upon itself to create a multi-ply ribbon that appears to be of heavier stock than the original paper. Alternatively, the multi-ply ribbon can be created by gluing together multiple ribbons, or by a combination of folding ribbons and gluing together ribbons. The multi-ply ribbon is die cut into an inside portion and an outside portion and married to the other ribbon, after which the outside portion is removed, leaving the inner portion as removable portions. Alternatively, the folded ribbon can be kiss cut after it has been married to the other ribbon. The removable portions can be UV-coated to simulate plastic and printed with information personalized for the advertiser or for the recipient.

  • Patent number: 7536611
Abstract: A BISR scheme which provides for on-chip assessment of the amount of repair on a given memory and for the flagging of any device as a fail when the device exceeds a pre-determined limit. Preferably, a counter is built and loaded through a test pattern during production testing, and the counter establishes the threshold for pass/fail criteria. The BISR is configured to load a repair solution and then test the memories for any additional failures and if there are any, repair them (provided enough redundant elements are available). In addition, a reliability controller for BISR designs can be provided, where the reliability controller contains a register set and a number of counters at the chip-level which can be loaded through a test pattern during production tests, where one of the counters contains the number of memories to be allowed for repair.

  • Patent number: 7526939
Abstract: A pulling head having jaws that have a conical angle of at least forty-five degrees, and preferably sixty degrees, relative to a longitudinal axis about which the jaws are arranged. Another pulling head includes an elastic collet that has a plurality of fingers. Each of the fingers includes an internal jaw area, and a back end of the elastic collet preferably contacts a bushing. Preferably, the bushing provides high and reliable push force and also acts as a shock absorber during operation. The fingers of the elastic collet are configured to open and close during tool operation, and are configured to grip a break stem of a fastener such that there is no side loading. The elastic collet is also configured such that the fingers stay accurately centered and positioned, eliminating any possibility of jaw damage caused by the jaws tumbling, being off-center, or being otherwise positioned incorrectly.
