Abstract: The present invention is a filter apparatus with methods to capture a desired amount of material suspended in a liquid or gas for monolayer deposition, analysis or other uses. Novel filter devices are employed to capture material which may be used for the purification or enrichment of various sample constituents or captured material may be observed or analyzed. Alternatively, particulate material may be used as a transport mechanism for proteins or chemicals which in turn may be assessed or used. The filter device employs sensors to sense pressure and adjust, halt or otherwise control sample flow. The pressure sensor essentially monitors the flow rate of sample suspension through a filter, typically responding at a predetermined pressure associated with capture of a desired amount of material on the filter. A separate valve or valve integrated with pressure sensing provides a means to adjust sample flow.
Abstract: A device for stacking wires or cables is provided. The device includes an attachment portion capable of attachment to a stud or other anchor, and a wire or cable receiving portion connected to the attachment portion. The wire or cable receiving portion has a plurality of segments which form a generally serpentine-shaped spine, thereby providing a plurality of wire or cable receiving slots. A pair of spaced apart tabs extend from each main portion. Each said tab has an end attached to the respective main portion and an opposite end which is free. Each tab curves outwardly and downwardly from the respective main portion and at least partially overlaps the respective wire or cable receiving slot.
Abstract: A tissue punch which is configured to operate by utilizing a spring force to compress tissue between a rotatable cutter blade and a tissue piercing element. The tissue punch is configured such that once the spring force is applied, the cutter blade can be selectively rotated by the user. The rotation of the blade, assisted by the compression from the spring force, causes the cutter blade to cut through the tissue. Three different methods for creating an anastomosis for locating a bypass graft are disclosed. In each method, bypass graft material is installed on a tissue punch and then sutured. Depending on the method, the tissue is punched either before or after the suturing.
Abstract: An on-chip substrate voltage controller which includes a plurality of chains of interconnected loaded ring oscillators connected to a multiplexer, where the multiplexer is configured to average the outputs from all the chains of interconnected loaded ring oscillators. An output of the multiplexer is connected to a comparator, such as a phase detector. The comparator also receives an output from a PLL, and is configured to compare the output of the multiplexer to the output of the PLL. An output of the comparator is connected to the controllable voltage regulator. The controllable voltage regulator receives a voltage in as well as the output of the comparator, and applies a substrate bias depending on what is received from the comparator.

Abstract: A cap for use on a palletized load has a main moulding providing housings at a pair or two pairs of opposite sides for a cassette in which a strap passes through a slotted crossbar between a drum and a hook having two prongs for engaging the underside of the platform of a pallet (e.g. at each side of a middle spacer), the strap then being tensioned by a linkage between the slotted crossbar and a lever within a slot for swinging between an inoperative position and an operative position (e.g. up to 90° thereto) to rotate the crossbar to wind the strap thereon.

Abstract: A method of determining the distance from an edge feature to a wafer edge. The wafer is put onto an image acquisition tool, and images are captured and classified. Based on the coordinates of the images and their classifications, the distance between an edge feature and the wafer edge is determined. Reference marks can be etched into the wafer to facilitate the measurement. The measurement technique is objective, and can be used to minimize the edge exclusion ring as well as defects that originate from the edge of the wafer.

Abstract: The invention provides a method of performing process window compliant corrections of a design layout. The invention includes an operator performing the following steps: (1) simulating Develop Inspect Critical Dimension (DI CD) at best exposure conditions using the provided original layout pattern; (2) simulating DI CD at predefined boundary exposure conditions using the provided original layout pattern; (3) if the DI CD from step (1) meets the target DI CD definition, and the DI CD from step (2) meets process window specifications, convergence takes place; and (4) modifying the layout pattern and repeating steps (2) through (3) until DI CD from step (2) reaches the specification limit if any portion of step (3) is not achieved.

Abstract: A patient interface is described which is reduces the pressure of the mask on the users face. The patient interface has a sealing interface having an inner sealing member and an outer sealing member. The inner and outer sealing members are adapted to seal around the facial contours of a user providing a sealed fluid communication to the user's respiratory tract. The inner and outer sealing members are at least continuously in contact with each other around the portions where the sealing interface contacts the user's facial contours. The inner sealing member may be provided with cut outs to provide additional flexibility to particular areas, such as the nasal bridge, upper lip or cheek regions and may be provided with a contoured edge to better fit the facial contours of a user.

Abstract: A clip which is configured to keep a headlamp adjuster together during installation (and preferably also shipping), thereby allowing for one hand, easier installation. The clip can be left on the assembly after installation, or it can be removed, whichever is preferred. The clip is configured such that leaving it in place will not interfere with standard operation of the headlamp adjuster. A method of installing a headlamp adjuster with one hand is also provided.
Abstract: A method and system of selectively identifying at risk die based on location within the reticle. Reticle and stepping information is stored in a database. All reticle shots in a wafer and in a lot are overlaid on top of each other. The reticle and stepping information is used to calculate pass/fail or specific bin yield of reticle fields. It is determined if the yield of some reticle locations is below a statistical measure by a pre-determined threshold, and if so, all the die in that location are downgraded. The statistical value to compare against does not have to be based on the reticle alone. It can be a wafer of lot level statistic. The process can be applied at a lot or wafer level, or both.
Abstract: A thin ribbon spirally wound polymer conduit and method of forming, wherein a helical reinforcing bead is interposed adjacent overlapping layers of ribbon. Further, a method of continuously forming spirally wound conduit wherein a sacrificial layer, preferably having a different base polymer to that of the conduit, is first applied to the former before the conduit is formed overtop.
