  • Patent number: 6853104
Abstract: A miniature motor includes a closed-bottomed cylindrical motor casing having a cylindrical bearing support portion projecting from a central portion of the bottom of the motor casing, a motor-casing-side bearing accommodated in the bearing support portion, a casing cover fitted to an open end portion of the motor casing, a casing-cover-side bearing accommodated in a central portion of the casing cover, and a rotor rotatably supported by means of the motor-casing-side bearing and the casing-cover-side bearing. The end face of the motor-casing-side bearing is concentrically polished at at least a portion which, when the rotor is urged toward the motor casing, abuts a washer provided on a shaft of the rotor. The above structure reduces sliding loss on the end face of an oil-impregnated bearing which receives a thrust load of the rotor generated due to rotation of the motor.

  • Patent number: 6853622
Abstract: An aggregate link system and process is provided with cooperating link aggregation member devices defining a link aggregation. An connected devices is provided. Network links connect the connected devices to each of the link aggregation member devices. One or more of the network links define an aggregate link. A coordinating system is provided between the link aggregation member devices in the link aggregation of cooperating devices. The coordinating system is defined by the connected devices and the network links. The coordinating system determines a packet type received from the link aggregation. If the packet is one of predetermined packet types, the coordinating system either sends the packet back to the originating link aggregation member device or to the other link aggregation member devices.

  • Patent number: 6847635
Abstract: A method to use the data packet carrying ability of cable TV networks as described in DOCSIS to accurately and quickly transmit a voice call from a cable user to another user over a cable TV cable. The cable telephone, or cable modem, is given the ability to detect when voice activity from the subscriber is above and below a predetermined value. When the cable modem has voice activity, the cable modem knows that it will have a continuous stream of voice data packets which need to be sent very quickly and very accurately to the CMTS. Therefore, the cable modem requests a periodic stream of time slots from the CMTS. When the cable modem detects no voice activity or a silence period from the subscriber, the cable modem indicates that the periodic stream of time slots is no longer needed and the CMTS stops providing the periodic stream of time slots.

  • Patent number: 6845538
Abstract: The lower end of the rotative brush 12 contacts the cleaning subject surface 26. As the driving wheels 14 roll on the cleaning subject surface 26, the rotative brush 12 rotates, while being guided by the sweep-up slope surface 10e1 of the slope surface forming portion 10e, the dust 28 on the cleaning subject surface 26 is swept up by the rotation of the rotative brush 12. The dust 28 is separated from the rotative brush 12 and received in the dust receiver 10a. Substantially at the same time as this, the cleaning subject surface 26 can be wiped while pressing the sheet-like wiping member 24 against the cleaning subject surface 26.

  • Patent number: 6832755
Abstract: A clamping element for clamping workpieces in a flexible position. Two slides (2 and 3) guided in parallel slide in cutouts (4 and 5), which are provided in a housing (1). The force for moving the slides is introduced via plunger pistons (9 and 10) by these pistons acting on the front sides (17 and 18) of the slides, whereby a short lever arm is formed between the introduction of the force and the action of the force. A piston (22), which is provided at its head with a wedge (23), is introduced into the housing (1) at right angles to the plane of movement of the slides. This wedge is guided in recesses (6), which are associated with the slides. Due to the piston (22) being pulled down, its wedge is jammed in the recesses (6) of the slides (2 and 3) and the wedge pushes the slides into the cutouts (4 and 5) and fixes same in a self-locking manner.
