Abstract: A fuel-operated air heater (1) is disclosed, especially an air heater for automobiles that is operated independent from the motor. The inventive heater comprises a burner (2), a combustion chamber (3) and a heat exchanger (4). Hot air (5) is circulated through the combustion chamber (3) in a cup-shaped heat exchanger having a bottom that is closed on the inlet side and a hot air blower (10). The heat exchanger is also fitted with an overheat sensor (8) and a flame sensor (9) to monitor or detect overheating of the air heater during operation and the formation of flames during starting by means of a control device (6) and optionally to limit overheating or to disconnect the air heater. The overheat sensor (8) is mounted as a hot air temperature sensor in the area adjacent to the blower in the heat exchanger (4), especially with no wall contact in the hot air flow (5).

Prior to the mill system (1) being filled with the material (6) to be crushed the mill system is filled with an inert gas from a gas reservoir (13) so that the atmospheric oxygen in the mill system (1) is substantially displaced. After the mill system (1) has been filled, the latter is sealed in substantially gas-tight manner and the raw material (6) is ground and mashed in, subject to exclusion of atmospheric oxygen.

Abstract: According to the invention, an Ethernet system and method of using an Ethernet system is provided including a network side device (a hub/switch/concentrator), and a plurality of end devices (either a standard end device powered locally or a system powered device), connected to the hub/switch. The system powered devices have circuitry for indicating the system power need to the hub, which has a power source for selectively supplying system power over the Ethernet. A stimulus device associated with the network device sends a stimulus signal over the network connection lines during a detection phase. The need for power is signaled by an indication device associated with the system powered end devices, providing an indication signal in response to the stimulus signal.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to the coordination in good register of cylinders of a web-fed rotary printing press which print on a web, wherein a first cylinder printing on one side of the web is driven by a first motor and a second cylinder printing on the same side of the web is driven by a second motor and the angular position of the second cylinder is coordinated with the first cylinder in good register by a controller. Abstract: The gap adjusting device for nipping rollers is provided with one roller rotatably provided at a prescribed position and the other movable roller. A nipping-roller gap adjusting device includes a pair of supporting arms, one end of each of the supporting arms being swingably supported and the other end thereof rotatably supporting the other roller. A pressing force imparting device gives to the support arms a force working in such a direction that causes the other roller to approach the one roller and which, at the same time, can adjust the magnitude of the force. A minimum gap setting device can set a minimum gap between the one roller and the other roller. A gap adjusting device adjusts the size of a gap between the one roller and the other roller. A fixed frame member rotatably supports the one roller. The gap adjusting device is mounted on the fixed frame.
Abstract: An artificial honeycomb for hives with a body created from plastic material. The body has a multiplicity of hexagonal small cells, on one or both sides of a dividing film. The dividing film acts as a common base for all the small cells. The hexagonal small cells on one side of the dividing wall may be off-set with respect to the small cells on the other side of the dividing wall. The hexagonal small cells may be inclined horizontally. The honeycomb structure may be equipped with a border or an integral or fitted on perimeter frame. A substance compatible with the bees and one attractive to them may be applied to the small cells.
Abstract: A sewing device (1) is provided with a programmable electronic control system (4) for sewing folds and tucks. Such that format-dependent parts (guide tongue, pressure pad) can be eliminated at the time of a change of the seam program the use of a guide tongue is eliminated that depends on the form of the seam and of a format-dependent pressure pad. The feed of the fabric is performed only with a folding tool (5) with straight folding edge and the holding and guiding of the fabric during the sewing operation using a straight pressure pad (7). The electronic control system (4) can be programmed such that the desired seam course is obtained exclusively by the superimposition of longitudinal and transverse movements of the pressure pad (7). Parameters (1′-7IV) that determine the seam course are preferably entered in a graphics-supported manner.
