Abstract: The present invention relates to an active muffler for an exhaust gas system of an internal combustion engine, in particular in a motor vehicle, having at least one antinoise generator for applying antinoise to the exhaust gas, whereby the antinoise generator has a diaphragm drive with which it is coupled via at least one coupling element in a thermally conducting and noise-reducing manner to an outside wall of the muffler, which is in contact with the environment.
Abstract: The support device for cutting templates comprises a panel (2) with an essentially rectangular shape and presenting along the longitudinal sides respective raised rims (3) that serve as guides for sliding it into a cutting machine. The longitudinal rims (3) are fitted with an edge (4) that is folded towards the center of the panel (2), presenting the respective bevels (5) at the opposite ends in the corners. The panel (2) has a front rim (6) produced by folding the same panel (2) in a single piece and destined to function as the support device's handle.
Abstract: A carrying system for a respirator product shall be improved such that it shall have a simple design, make it possible to protect the cylinder valves and receive additional weights in a simple manner. To accomplish the object, a bracket (1) is provided, which has a U-shaped protective strap (4) in the area of the cylinder valves (28) and has a mount (15, 16, 24, 25) for a balance weight (5), which can be pushed in between the pressurized gas cylinders (18).
Abstract: A method of operating a diesel engine in a mechanical apparatus is disclosed, wherein the diesel engine includes a combustion chamber, and wherein the mechanical apparatus also including a catalyst configured to treat NOx emissions from the diesel engine. The method includes performing at least one early homogenization combustion in the combustion chamber, determining a temperature of the catalyst, and if the temperature of the catalyst is equal to or below a preselected temperature threshold, then performing at least one late homogenization combustion or diffusion combustion in the combustion chamber to raise a temperature of exhaust provided to the catalyst.

Abstract: The Quengle cast (1) has an adjusting member for generating a Quengle force acting on the joint. The adjusting member is part of a correcting unit with a pressurized basic body. Abstract: A system for an engine of a vehicle, comprising of a combustion chamber located in the engine; a delivery system configured to deliver a fuel and a fluid to at least the combustion chamber in varying ratios, wherein the fluid includes at least an alcohol; wherein the delivery system includes at least a direct injector configured to inject at least the fluid directly into the combustion chamber; and a control system configured to advance the timing of the fluid delivered to the combustion chamber by the direct injector to reduce the likelihood of knock; and retard the timing of the fluid delivered to the combustion chamber by the direct injector to reduce the likelihood of preignition.
Abstract: A system and method for controlling operation of cylinder with at least an intake and exhaust valve and a piston are described. In one aspect, the method comprises maintaining at least one of the intake and exhaust valves in a closed position during a period. Further, closing the other of the intake and exhaust valves with the piston at a first position from, and then opening the other of the intake and exhaust valves at a second position of the piston closer to bottom center than said first position, during said period.

To increase the efficiency of such a process and such a device and system, and to reduce the design effort and the maintenance effort, the coolant is evaporated after it leaves the waste heat source (10, 20) and the evaporating means is provided after the waste heat source (10, 20) when viewed in the direction of flow of the coolant.
Abstract: A method and a system for controlling a plurality of manipulators with a large number of control units associated with the manipulators in such a way that each control unit controls at least one manipulator, are characterized in that an operating device accesses several control units for controlling the manipulators. Thus, it is possible according to the invention to operate even very closely juxtaposed manipulators without any crossing and interlacing of the connecting channels between the operating devices and control units which would prevent a reliable association in operation. The invention also makes it possible for only one operator to operate cooperating robots.

Abstract: An energy-absorbing deformable structure to attach a child seat to a mounting portion of a vehicle is provided.
