Abstract: A device (1) is proposed for guiding elongated, flexible elements (2) along parts (6.1, 6.2) of a machine (6) movable relative to one another. The flexible elements (2) can e.g. be power supply cables bunched in a hose for a tool of a multiaxial industrial robot (6), which are guided along the axes of the latter. A device (1) according to the invention is characterized by a sheet blank (1.1) located on the surface of a machine part (6.1) for creating a fixing face (1.1g) for machine attachment (7) spaced from said surface. At least one flexible element (2) is held and guided in a gap 1.1d) between the surface and the fixing face (1.1g). As a result of the thus created, layered or superimposed arrangement of machine attachments (7) and flexible elements (2) guided on the machine space conflict between the same is avoided.
Abstract: A process and/or system that extracts selected information from e.g. traditional electronics medical records to enable analysis of a determined medical condition shared by multiple patients. A data warehouse receives the extracted information and reformats that information to enable rapid analysis by a health care provider of that provider's patient population having that medical condition. It further collects the selective data of the selected patients for multiple health care providers and enables comparisons of health care providers' success for such patients to promote upgrading of the treatment by less successful providers.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a secondary air injection system for an internal combustion engine, and an automotive vehicle comprising such a secondary air injection system. The arrangement includes shut-off valve for selectively passing on or restricting airflow form the secondary air injection system. A flexible connector is arranged to receive the airflow and pass it on to at least two reed-type non-return valves arranged to substantially only allow airflow in the downstream direction. At the downstream side of each respective reed-type non-return valve a conduit for communicating any airflow passed there through to an associated exhaust bank of the internal combustion engine.
Abstract: A method for controlling an engine coupled to a transmission is described. A method is described for adjusting an engine operating parameter to maintain transmission input speed at or below a synchronous transmission input speed. The synchronous transmission input speed is based on transmission state and transmission output speed. Alternatively, vehicle speed can be used in place of transmission output speed.

Abstract: A dual coil half bridge converter adapted to be coupled to a dual coil actuator of a cylinder valve in an internal combustion engine is described. In one example, the converter has a first and second capacitor and a voltage source, where the converter is actuated via switches to individually energizing coils in said dual coil actuator. Abstract: The method decomposes the radio frequency signal into sub-bands by filtering, for example with a time-frequency transform. From the coefficients acquired through decomposition a matrix of spectral coefficients is obtained, from which local estimators are obtained, constituted in particular by the coefficients of the interpolating polynomials. The statistical distribution of the local estimators is evaluated in windows overlaid on the ultrasound frame. The conformation of the distribution histograms of the spectral coefficients provides a parameter which, combined with the local estimators, provides weighted local estimators, which contain spectral information useful in the identification of specific structures in the organ subjected to ultrasound analysis.
