Abstract: A thermo-sensitive actuator capable of operating without the need of providing a temperature detector as a separate member. The actuator includes a stator made of a magnetic material to form a yoke. A rotor is rotatably provided in an opening provided in the stator. The actuator further includes pole pieces for magnetically connecting the stator and the rotor. A magnetic source is provided in any of the magnetic paths formed by the constituent elements. A thermo-sensitive magnetic material, which shows a change in magnetic characteristics, e.g. permeability, saturated magnetic flux density, or residual magnetic flux density, according to temperature, is provided in a part of the magnetic paths.
Abstract: An evaluation method to efficiently and precisely measure high-density oxygen-precipitation defects in the bulk of a silicon wafer is disclosed. A number of silicon wafers containing oxygen-precipitation defects are provided. The SPV method is utilized to measure the diffusion length of the minority carriers in the silicon wafers. The density of oxygen-precipitation defects is measured by the infrared tomography method. The diffusion length and the defect density are plotted and are found to be correlated. That is, the SPV measured diffusion length of the minority carriers and the defect density obtained by the infrared tomography method have specific relationships. A constant A can then be obtained from the plot. The diffusion length L of minority carriers in silicon wafers provided for evaluation is measured by the SPV method. Finally, the bulk oxygen-precipitation defects density can be calculated from the formula A.times.L.sup.-2.

Abstract: A universal tape measure including a housing formed with a downward extending opening on a lateral side. A lower end of the opening is disposed with a pen tip opening. An inner wall of the opening is disposed with intersecting cross lines which outward extend to mark a right angle cutout. The tape measure is marked with scales such as metric system scale, British Imperial scale and/or other scales. The tape measure is further formed with a circle center hole. The universal tape measure has the functions of drafting a circle, measuring whether an article is vertical and measuring the horizontal distance between two points on different levels.
Abstract: A polyolefin resin composition which comprises:(A) a polyolefin,(B) 0.1 to 100 parts of a core-shell graft copolymer prepared by graft copolymerizing (b) 5 to 60 parts by weight of a monomer component comprising a copolymerizable vinyl compound selected so that the glass transition temperature of a polymer of said monomer component alone is not less than 25.degree. C., onto (a) 40 to 95 parts by weight of a crosslinked rubber-like polymer having a glass transition temperature of not more than 25.degree. C., and(C) 0 to 400 parts of an inorganic filler, said parts of (B) and (C) being parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of (A). The above-mentioned polyolefin resin composition shows the excellent processability, impact resistance, rigidity and surface property.

Abstract: A method and a device for positioning boot bindings to be fitted depending on an axial deviation of a body of a snow board player in which a pair of fore and back loading disks (21) and (21') are arranged rotatably on a base (11) and each of the loading disks (21) and (21') can be fixed to a turning direction at an arbitrary angle. A player stands with his boots on the fore and back loading disks (21) and (21'). One of the loading disk (21) or (21') is temporarily fixed at a predetermined position to detect the axial deviation of the body by twisting an ankle right and left, while the axial deviation of the body on the other loading disk (21) or (21') is detected by a similar operation, thereby fixing fore and back boots on the snow board so as to provide an angular difference corresponding to an angular deviation ratio of both angles thus determined.
