  • Patent number: 7365757
Abstract: A method and apparatus for independent video and graphics scaling in a video graphics system is accomplished by receiving a video data stream, wherein the video data stream includes video data in a first format. A graphics data stream is also received, and the graphics data stream includes graphics data in a second format. The video data of the video data stream is scaled based on a ratio between the first format and a selected video format to produce a scaled video stream. Similarly, the graphics data of the graphics data stream is scaled based on a ratio between the second format and a selected graphics format in order to produce a scaled graphics stream. The scaled video stream and the scaled graphics stream are then merged to produce a video graphics output stream.

  • Patent number: 7363188
Abstract: An apparatus and method of operating automated test equipment (ATE) in a networked environment of multiple external test controllers. The system resources responsible for coordinating the shared uses of the ATE by the multiple external test controllers are centralized within the ATE. As a result, programming of the respective test controllers is simplified since the test controllers no longer need be responsible for communicating among themselves to coordinate or otherwise determine how and when access to the ATE is granted to any particular test controller.

  • Patent number: 7353722
Abstract: A holding frame (2) is mounted in a weathering chamber (1) of a weathering tester so that it can be rotated around a xenon radiation source (3), which is located on the cylinder or rotation axis, and an infrared filter (5) placed around it. Samples (3) to be weathered are fastened to the inside of the holding frame (2) and are exposed to the radiation from the xenon radiation source (4). The surface temperature of the samples (3) can be recorded directly by a black-body radiation detector such as a pyrometer (6), which is aimed at a stationary region of space through which the samples (3) pass periodically during their rotational movement. The surface temperature can be computed in an evaluation circuit from the detected black-body radiation, together with emissivity values stored for the individual samples (3).

  • Patent number: 7356823
Abstract: A direct access driver solves limitations of DirectX operation under the Microsoft architecture when using multiple monitors. The direct access driver allows applications employing DirectX application program interfaces to use hardware acceleration without display errors on the monitors. Display errors can occur if multiple frame buffer addresses are returned in response to “GetFrameBufferAddress” DirectX calls. A single address is returned for two or more frame buffers on a display driver card by performing, without the DirectX application's knowledge, background operations that track hardware acceleration demands from two or more graphic user interfaces and frame buffers. The background operations entail constantly changing the frame buffer pointers relative to the location of offscreen DirectX application data, while one or more DirectX applications are moved in the display space from monitor to monitor.

  • Patent number: 7348581
Abstract: The usual xenon radiation source in conventional weathering testers is replaced by UV light-emitting diodes (LEDs) (6). These can be used to provide a good approximation of the UV component of the solar spectrum, in particular when different types of UV light-emitting diodes (6) with different emission characteristics are employed. Optionally, further light-emitting diodes in the visible spectral range may also be used in order to cover other parts of the solar spectrum. The light-emitting diodes (6) may be mounted on a flexible printed circuit board (5), which may in turn be fitted on a tubular holding body (4). The flexible printed circuit board carrying the light-emitting diodes may also be placed on other substrates (7) which are pliable in a geometrically stable way, so that that they can be arranged at a uniform distance from material samples with a particular surface topology, in order to obtain uniform exposure.

  • Patent number: 7345510
Abstract: An input signal is routed to a first logic one reference signal generator or alternatively routed to a second logic one reference signal generator based at least one a voltage level of the input signal. When the voltage level of the input signal is less than a threshold value, the first logic one reference signal generator selectively generates a first logic one reference signal. When the voltage level of the input signal is greater than or equal to the threshold value, the second logic one reference signal generator alternatively generates a second logic one reference signal. The first and second logic one reference signals may be used to control a first voltage scaling circuit that drives a scaled output signal having a logic one value corresponding to the voltage level of the first logic one reference signal.

  • Patent number: 7336318
Abstract: An apparatus and method for facilitating program changes. The apparatus and method include a controller for detecting a change program request and for outputting change event data when a change event is detected. A non-active video information replacement module is coupled to the controller for receiving non-active video information and the change event data. When the replacement module receives change event data, a clear code generator generates clear code data that replaces non-active video information, and the non-active video information replacement module generates modified non-active video information. The modified non-active video information is provided to an output stage, whereupon the clear code data resets a non-active video information field within a display device, thereby preventing the display of erroneous information by a display within the output stage. Thereupon, clear code data is synthetically inserted within non-active video information upon the occurrence of a change event.
