Abstract: A gaming machine has a display arrangement for displaying symbols that are related to a game, and a controller that determines in response to a predetermined input signal whether or not the game condition will be transferred to a specified game condition that is advantageous to the player and controls the display arrangement to display a display mode corresponding to the result of the determination. The display mode includes a special symbol for informing that the game condition is transferred to the specified game condition by showing a predetermined stop state when a symbol variation is stopped, and a predictive symbol for predicting the stop state of the special symbol. The predictive symbol is provided as plural kinds of symbols having respective relationship. The gaming machine can provide to a player an indication of the possibility to transfer to a special game condition depending on the meaning of the relationship of the symbols that are displayed.

Abstract: Ultraviolet absorbents and photostabilizers have an excellent absorption ability in a wide range of ultraviolet rays, and also have high stability and high safety. The ultraviolet absorbent and photostabilizer include a pyridazine derivative of the formula (1): or salts thereof. Also, described are methods for manufacturing said pyridazine derivative and/or this salts thereof comprising the process of reacting at least 10 wt % of 4,5-dichloro-3-hydroxypyridazine or 4,5-dibromo-3-hydroxypyridazine or mixtures thereof with at least 20 vol % of morpholine in reaction solution at 70° C. or higher. The ultraviolet absorbents photostabilizers include said pyridazine derivative and/or salts thereof as effective ingredient. An ultraviolet ray absorption composition and an external preparation for skin are also included.

Abstract: This invention relates to a system for motor vehicles to monitor and automatically report to authorities aggressive driving behavior of other vehicles. The camera 10 takes images from the rear view of the vehicle 14 and preferably also from the front. For example, when a vehicle 14 is at a certain MPH and is being followed too closely by another driver (for an extended period of time—ten seconds or more) this event can trigger the system to capture and transmit the rear view images of the offending vehicle. These images are then uplinked to the local law enforcement agency that in turn will determine whether or not a citation or ticket should be automatically mailed to the offender. If the offending driver continues to harass the driver with the system and in doing so drives past the victim, similar images are captured from the frontal view of the vehicle.

The wind instrument includes a tubular body, a secondary treble key, and a control shaft adapted to be rotated by the secondary treble key. The control shaft is pivotally connected to the tubular body and is securely formed with two spaced transverse pieces having respective apertures defined in alignment. A bar has a pair of opposed, egg-shaped ends, and each of the egg-shaped ends defines a threaded hole therein and a plurality of splits around the threaded hole. A pair of adjusting screws is threadedly engaged with the threaded holes respectively. Therefore, the egg-shaped ends of the bar can be fitted in the apertures of the transverse pieces with no clearance therebetween by adjusting the adjusting screws in the threaded holes carefully.

Abstract: The present invention relates to nanosilver-containing antibacterial and antifungal granules (“NAGs”). The NAGs have longlasting inhibitory effect on a broad-spectrum of bacteria and fungi, which include, but are not limited to, Escherichia coli, Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Chlamydia trachomatis, Providencia stuartii, Vibrio vulnificus, Pneumobacillus, Nitrate-negative bacillus, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Bacillus cloacae, Bacillus allantoides, Morgan's bacillus (Salmonella morgani), Pseudomonas maltophila, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus foecalis alkaligenes, Streptococcus hemolyticus B, Citrobacter, and Salmonella paratyphi C. The NAGs contain ground stalk marrow of the plant Juncus effusus L. which has been dispersed with nanosilver particles. The nanosilver particles are about 1-100 nm in diameter. Each of the nanosilver particles contain a metallic silver core which is surrounded by silver oxide.

Abstract: The invention provides novel anthracene compounds useful in the treatment of allergic, inflammatory, and tumor conditions and therapeutic compositions containing such compounds or their pharmaceutically acceptable salts. The compounds of the invention are novel 1,8-dichloro-anthracene derivatives or analogs thereof. According to the practice of the invention, there are provided 9-substituted 1,8-dichloro-anthracene compounds of the Formula III: wherein R represents a straight or branched chain alkyl group having 1-6 carbons and may be substituted with one or more of the groups R1, wherein R1 represents the groups selected from COOH or an ester alky thereof having 1 to 4 carbons, —OH, halogen, NO2, CH3O, CH3CH2O, phenyl and CH3CH2CH2O.

Abstract: The invention relates to novel anthracene compounds useful in the treatment of allergic, inflammatory conditions, tumor conditions and therapeutic compositions containing such compounds. The compounds of the present invention are 9-acyloxy-substituted 1,5-dichloroanthracene or analogs thereof. Abstract: A method for measuring the effectiveness of a wide-area differential global positioning system by projecting the least-squares error covariance of the space vehicles and ground reference stations through the central control station. Through generation of the differential corrections at the central control station, the space vehicle-ground reference station error covariance is then projected onto the wide-area differential global positioning system user locations. A covariance analysis approach is then used to capture the dependencies of the space vehicle and observability of the space vehicle by the ground reference stations and to the user locations within the wide-area differential global positioning system coverage area.

Abstract: The present invention describes a method for germination activating spores of red Ganoderma lucidum to produce bioactive substances which has medicinal effects on patients with immunological disorders, cancer, AIDS, hepatitis, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, and can prevent or inhibit free radical oxidation and hepatotoxic effects. The method can be subdivided into three stages. At the first stage, a germination activation method is introduced which includes soaking the spores in a solution to induce germination, and placing the germination treated spores in a culture box to induce the synthesis of bioactive substances and softening of the cell walls of the spores. At the second stage, sporoderm-broken ganoderma spores are collected by treating the epispores with cell wall breaking enzymes and/or mechanical force. At the last stage, the bioactive substances are extracted from the sporoderm-broken spores by drying at low temperature followed by extraction.
