Abstract: A device configured to switch a clock speed for multiple links running at different clock speeds and a method for switching the clock signals are disclosed. A frequency divider derives a plurality of clock signals at different frequencies from a source clock signal. A clock switching controller selects a maximum data rate among data rates requested by a plurality of ports of links and outputs a transmit clock signal at the selected maximum data rate to the ports along with a clock enabling signal for each of the ports. Each of the clock enabling signals selectively enables the transmit clock signal for matching a data rate requested by each port. The clock speed may be selected and updated as required by the ports glitch-free in a known amount of time without interrupting data transfers on any of the other ports.

Abstract: Data is estimated from a received vector comprising a plurality of communications. A received wireless signal is converted to a baseband signal, which is sampled to produce a received vector. Channel responses are estimated for the received communications. The noise variance is estimated. The noise variance is scaled by a scaling factor. Samples are processed using the estimated channel responses and the scaled noise variance to produce a spread data vector. The spread data vector is despread to recover the data of the received wireless signal.

The clamp has gripping surfaces which are arranged to cooperate with the end portion when the clamp grasping the filling duct. Each gripping surface has opposite edge portions, a bead being arranged in each edge portion. The end portion has a circumferential surface which is formed of two opposite partial surfaces which each comprise a convexly curved central portion and a concavely curved side portion arranged on each side of the central portion.
Abstract: A system and a method of controlling transmitter power in a wireless communication system in which user data is processed as a multirate signal in which the user data signal having a first rate is converted into a transmission data signal having a faster second rate for transmission. The transmission power is adjusted on a relatively slow basis based on quality of data received by a receiver of the transmitted data. The transmitter power is determined as a function of the first and second rates such that a change in the data rate in the multiple channels or the rate of the transmission data signal is compensated in advance of a quality of data based adjustment associated with such data rate change. Preferably, the user data signal having the first rate is converted into the transmission data signal having the second faster rate by repeating selected data bits whereby the energy per bit to noise spectrum density ratio is increased in the transmission data signal.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for communicating and utilizing persistent allocation of resources are described herein. A base station can allocate persistent resources to a client station, and can associate the client station or persistent resource allocation with a particular shared NACK channel. The base station can monitor the NACK channel for a NACK indicating a map error. The base station can also monitor the resource allocation to implicitly determine a map error. The base station can resend one or more persistent resource allocation information elements in response to the NACK or implicit error determination. A client station having a persistent resource allocation can monitor persistent resource allocation information elements in map messages and can indicate failure to receive a persistent resource allocation information element in a NACK message on a preassigned share NACK channel.

Abstract: The configurations of an electro-optic Bragg deflector and the methods of using it as a laser Q-switch in a Q-switched laser and in a Q-switched wavelength-conversion laser are provided. As a first embodiment, the electro-optic Bragg deflector comprises an electrode-coated electro-optic material with one of a 1D and a 2D spatially modulated electro-optic coefficient. The second embodiment relates to an actively Q-switched laser, wherein the electro-optic Bragg deflector functions as a laser Q-switch. The third embodiment of the present invention combines the Q-switched laser and a laser-wavelength converter to form a Q-switched wavelength-conversion laser, wherein the EO Bragg deflector can be monolithically integrated with a quasi-phase-matching wavelength converter in a fabrication process.
