Abstract: Data is estimated from a received vector comprising a plurality of communications. A received wireless signal is converted to a baseband signal, which is sampled to produce a received vector. Channel responses are estimated for the received communications. The noise variance is estimated. The noise variance is scaled by a scaling factor. Samples are processed using the estimated channel responses and the scaled noise variance to produce a spread data vector. The spread data vector is despread to recover the data of the received wireless signal.

Abstract: A method is intended for manufacturing a bicycle spoked wheel. By inserting the nipples or barrels for the attachment of the spokes in the spoke attachment seats from the inside of the spoke attachment chamber instead of from the outside, after having inserted them in the chamber from a suitably sized opening, the rim of the bicycle wheel can be manufactured even without additional openings, still using conventional nipples or barrels.
Abstract: A stroller having a frame with front and rear portions and right and left sides. A seat having a seat base and a seat back is mounted to the front portion of the frame. The seat back is rotatable relative to the frame between a back support position and a travel seat support position where the seat back is substantially parallel to and above the seat base when the stroller is in an operating position.
Abstract: Appropriate parameters can be efficiently set for network ports included in a storage apparatus. A storage apparatus performing I/O processing on a storage drive in response to an I/O request manages a first table in which a network device (SAS controller, SAS expander) is associated with location information of the network ports, a second table in which the cable length of a network cable coupled to each of the network ports is associated with a port ID of the network port, and a relationship between the cable length of the network cable and the parameter (output amplitude, pre-emphasis) set for the network port. The storage apparatus acquires the cable length of the network cable from the second table, determines the parameters corresponding to the acquired cable length from the above relationship, and sets the determined parameter for the network port.
Abstract: A device for filling a container with a liquid product, the container having a compartment which communicates with the surroundings via a filling duct. The device comprising a filling tube with an end portion, which is insertable into the filling duct. The device includes a clamp which is adapted to grasp the end portion and the filling duct when said end portion is inserted into said filling duct to provide a seal. The clamp has gripping surfaces which are arranged to cooperate with the end portion when the clamp grasping the filling duct. Each gripping surface has opposite edge portions, a bead being arranged in each edge portion. The end portion has a circumferential surface which is formed of two opposite partial surfaces which each comprise a convexly curved central portion and a concavely curved side portion arranged on each side of the central portion.
Abstract: A method for configuring parameter values for a plurality of cameras (100a-100f) is disclosed. In the first step of the method, image data from the plurality of cameras (100a-100f) is acquired. Secondly, the image data from the plurality of cameras (100a-100f) is buffered. Thirdly, the buffered image data from the plurality of cameras (100a-100f) is displayed. Fourthly, at least one parameter value for a first subset of said plurality of cameras is changed. Fifthly, the at least one parameter value is transmitted to said first subset of cameras. Sixthly, the changed image data from a second subset of said plurality of cameras is acquired. Seventhly, the buffered image data for said second subset of cameras is replaced with said changed image data for said second subset of cameras. Finally, the stored image data for said plurality of cameras (100a-100f) is displayed.

Abstract: A storage system and a path management method, which can facilitate node replacement, are proposed. In the storage system, the host sets plural paths between the host and the volume and holds path information composed of management information on each of the paths. The management apparatus includes an integrated path management unit that collects the path information on each of the paths defined between the host and the volume from the corresponding host to manage all the collected information as integrated path information; retrieves an alternate path going through a node other than a specified node but that has the same function as the specified node, for the path going through the specified node, based on the integrated path information; and displays results of the retrieval.
Abstract: A method for gas filling a handle portion of a container of a collapsible type. The handle portion being defined by two opposite side walls of the container and communicating, via a duct defined by the side walls, with an opening formed in one of the side walls. The method including the steps of supplying, at a gas filling station, a gas to the handle portion via the opening and the duct, blocking the duct by a squeezing action to retain the gas supplied to the handle portion, transporting the container to a sealing station while maintaining the squeezing action and, at said sealing station, sealing the duct while maintaining the squeezing action, so as to permanently enclose the gas in the handle portion. The disclosure further concerns a container of a collapsible type.

Abstract: A deferral management method is implemented in a wireless local area network (WLAN) including an access point (AP) and a plurality of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs). The AP sends a deferral management capabilities request message to the WTRUs to determine the deferral management capabilities of the WTRUs. In response, each of the WTRUs sends a deferral management capabilities indicator message to the AP. The AP may also send a deferral management parameter set message to the WTRUs to indicate values for setting deferral management parameters. In response, each of the WTRUs may optionally send a deferral management parameter set execution confirmation message to the AP. The WTRUs may also set the values of various deferral management parameters in accordance with a certain rule specified in a deferral management rule message sent by the AP. Optionally, the WTRUs may respond to the AP with a deferral management rule execution confirmation message.
