A wireless communication system includes a plurality of wireless networks deployed under different wireless communication protocols. A multi-mode wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may perform a handover from one wireless network to another for continuous reception of services. The wireless network sends a message to the WTRU which indicates whether the wireless network supports MIH services and a supported MIH mode. The WTRU receives the message and makes a handover decision based on the message.

    Abstract: A method and system for call setup in an evolved third generation (3G) radio access network are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) sends its identity to a core network (CN) for call setup when the WTRU is in an RRC_disconnected state. The CN verifies the identity and sends an authentication vector to the WTRU. The WTRU sends a service access request message including an authentication response to the CN via a Node-B. The Node-B performs an admission control. The CN attaches the WTRU if the authentication response is same to an expected response. The Node-B then allocates radio resources to the WTRU. The Node-Bs may be directly connected, or may be connected to a control plane server which performs admission control. When the WTRU is transitioning from an RRC_idle state to an RRC_connected state, the WTRU may or may not need to re-authenticate again.

The decoupler (1) includes an automatic locking device (7) that is dependent on a direction of rotation and that produces, at a low rotational speed level, a coupling between the belt pulley (3) and the shaft (2), and this coupling automatically disconnects when a pre-determined rotational speed is reached.

This invention equally provides a fixation mechanism for fixation of a bone anchor to the structural member of a spine fixation system in the absence of deformity.

Alternatively, one or more of the base stations that detected the sounding pulse direct a communication beam to the mobile unit and the mobile unit selects unit the base station with which it is to establish wireless communication.

Each VPU performs some combination of pixel sampling and pixel center sampling (also referred to as multisampling and supersampling). Each VPU performs sampling on the same pixels or pixel centers, but each VPU creates samples positioned differently from the other VPUs corresponding samples. The VPUs each output frame data that has been multisampled and/or supersampled into a compositor that composites the frame data to produce an antialiased rendered frame. The antialiased rendered frame has an effectively doubled antialiasing factor.
