Abstract: A dichroic color mixing flag for a multiparameter light is constructed that greatly improves the thermal shock tolerance of the flag and avoids having to use a more costly quartz substrate material. The dichroic color mixing flag may be substantially circular in shape. The dichroic color mixing flag may be fixed to a mechanical component so that the flag cannot rotate with respect to the mechanical component. The dichroic color mixing flag may be fixed to the mechanical component so that the mechanical component can move the dichroic color mixing flag without moving any other dichroic color mixing flag.

Abstract: A first substantially transparent window, a tinted window, and a tinted window moving device may be provided in an automobile. The tinted window moving device can be controlled to place the tinted window in a first state or a second state. In the first state the tinted window is substantially aligned with the first substantially transparent window so that in order to see out of the first substantially transparent window, an individual must look through the tinted window also. In the second state the tinted window is not substantially aligned with the first substantially transparent window, so that an individual can see out of the first substantially transparent window without looking through the tinted window also.
Abstract: A golf swing practice target panel or impact device is provided. The impact device may be or may include a panel made of a type of material such that there will be a temporary mark where a standard or non-standard golf ball impacted the panel. An aiming reference point may be provided on a lower portion of the panel. In addition, lines may be printed on the panel to depict launch or elevation angles and off-center deviation angles. A golfer can examine how accurate the strike was after the swing. Also, the panel material may possess proper friction that enables the spinning direction of a golf ball to be determined when a golf ball bounces off from the panel. Judging from where the ball landed relative to the temporary ball mark on the panel, the golfer is able to know how the ball was spinning after striking.
Abstract: A method is provided which includes transmitting a template web page from a server computer to a user computer via the internet. The template web page may be received at the user computer. The template web page may be stored in a temporary computer memory of the user computer. The method may further include causing the template web page to be displayed on a computer monitor of the user computer by use of the user computer. The template web page may include a plurality of control buttons, a plurality of visible boxes and a plurality of hidden boxes. The method may further include modifying the template web page in response to activation of one or more control buttons to form a modified template web page. The template web page allows a user to further add more visible items such as boxes, lines and images. Data concerning the modified template web page may be transmitted to the server computer, and stored in a database of the server computer as text.

Abstract: A multiparameter lighting apparatus is disclosed that allows an operator of a central controller to remotely choose a first rotation of a selected gobo of the multiparameter lighting apparatus. The first rotation is typically a substantially smooth rotation. A second rotation can also be chosen, wherein the second rotation causes an animation of the selected gobo.
Abstract: A new method for transmitter-receiver design that enhances the desired signal output from the receiver by whitening the total interference and noise input to the receiver and maximizing the output Signal to Interference plus Noise power Ratio (SINR) is presented. As a result of the whitening process, the receiver “sees” a desired signal in white noise, and the receiver structure is then optimized to maximize the receiver output at the desired decision making instant. Furthermore the new design scheme proposed here can be used for transmit signal energy and bandwidth tradeoff. As a result, transmit signal energy can be used to tradeoff for “premium” signal bandwidth without sacrificing the system performance level in terms of the output Signal to Interference plus Noise power Ratio (SINR).

Abstract: A non-English text generation system and method is presented by which text can be generated in any language without a keyboard. Initially, only a few base characters or radicals of a language are displayed. A desired character or derivative symbol is reached by lookup through successive menus. When a desired character or symbol is reached, it can be displayed on a computer monitor using a computer mouse or a similar interactive device. This system and method can be applied to any non-English language such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Indian, That, Lao, etc. The system and method has significant utility in internet searching, authentication, email, chat, wireless messaging, document preparation, online advertisement creation, form filling in e-commerce etc, in non-English languages.
Abstract: A new method for transmitter-receiver design that enhances the desired signal output from the receiver while minimizing the total interference and noise output from the receiver at the desired decision making instant is presented. Further the new design scheme proposed here can be used for transmit signal energy and bandwidth tradeoff. As a result, transmit signal energy can be used to tradeoff for the “premium” signal bandwidth without sacrificing the system performance level in terms of the output Signal to Interference plus Noise power Ratio (SINR). The two designs—the one before and the one after the tradeoff—will result in two different transmitter-receiver pairs that have the same performance level. In many applications such as in telecommunications, since the available bandwidth is at premium, such a tradeoff will result in releasing otherwise unavailable bandwidth at the expense of additional signal energy.
Abstract: A drum hi hat apparatus including a first tube device, a second tube device, a third tube device, a rod, a support device, a pedal device, and a first adjusting device. The third tube device may have a first end which is configured to have a first cymbal placed on it. The rod may be configured to fit within the first, second, and third tube devices. The support device may be configured so that it is able to support the first tube device in an upright position. The first adjusting device may be configured to adjustably fix the rod to the second tube device, so that the rod extends out from the second tube device different amounts. The pedal device may be connected to the second tube device, which is adjustably fixed to the rod by a first adjusting device, so that the pedal device can pull down the second tube device and thereby pull down a second cymbal fixed to the rod to bring the second cymbal in contact with the first cymbal.
Abstract: A multiparameter light typically includes a lamp and shutter in combination with one or more optical components, various electrical and mechanical components for operating the optical components, suitable electronics for controlling the parameters of the multiparameter light, and suitable power supplies for the lamp, motors, and electronics. Typically, the lamp is enclosed by the lamp housing, which also contains the other optical components and many of the electrical and mechanical components which operate them. As the lamp and the various components within the lamp housing generate a great deal of heat and as components within the multiparameter light can overheat as a result of various orientations and light makeup parameters, the temperature of components within the lamp housing is managed by controlling the amount of power furnished to the lamp or the amount of light transmitted through the shutter in accordance with the orientation of the multiparameter light and/or the light makeup parameter in use.
