The variable homogenizing system may homogenize light projected by a lamp across a light valve. The variable homogenizing system may vary the light across the light valve from an existing state to a first state or from an existing state to a second state. The variable homogenizing system may be comprised of one or more lens arrays, which may be comprised of cylindrical or spherical lenses.

Abstract: A stage lighting apparatus is disclosed comprised of a lamp housing. The lamp housing is comprised of a lamp and a first light valve. The stage lighting apparatus is also comprised of a first set of first image data. The first set of first image data is comprised of a first set of first separate color data for operation of a first separate colored image and a second set of second separate color data for operation of a second separate colored image. A swap function is applied to the first set of first image data to allow operation of the second separate colored image as determined by the first separate color data.

Abstract: A first portion or plug and a second portion or pencil are provided, for use in a device, such as a marine engine. The first portion or plug may have an outer surface with external threads and a cavity with internal threads. The external threads of the first portion or plug may be threaded oppositely from the internal threads inside the cavity of the first portion or plug. The opposite threading allows the plug and pencil combination to be detached and unscrewed from an engine without the plug and pencil coming apart.

Commands received by a communications port of the base housing may be acted upon to change zoom and focus values of a zoom and focus lens. A cooling system may be provided which compares an input air temperature of the image projection lighting device to an exiting air temperature to determine if a filter needs service. A video projector may project a first image comprised of first, second, and third separate images and the first separate image can be faded up to project light that is void of an image by a first command received at the communications port.

The base housing may include or have located therein, a processing system and a communications port. The lamp housing may include or have located therein, a video projector, an antireflective aperture, a cooling system, and an air filter system. The image projection lighting device may further include a multicolor video display device, which may display a signal indicating a service alert, such as a filter service alert. Service information, concerning the image projection lighting device, may be transmitted by the image projection lighting device from the communications port to a central controller.

Abstract: An improved necktie knotting device and method. The typical embodiment of the device is comprised of a first member which can be called a collar may have first and second indentations that serve as an anchor for the tie. The second indentation may be opposite the first indentation. Second and third members may be provided which may be arranged in a Y-shape configuration and be comprised of two separate symmetrical parts each having an upper portion called an arm and lower portion called a handle. The second member is connected to the first member. The second member and third member are typically made of a resilient metal wire. The meeting portion of the second and third member is where the tie is knotted. The tie loop is created by running the tie on the first member and the device tie knot point.

Abstract: A method for monitoring file system requests made by an application program, storing changes made to a first copy of a selected file by the application program into a first file and synchronizing the changes made to the selected file with a second copy of the selected file. The monitoring and storing process is application independent in that it is utilized by the operating system for all file system requests made by any application program. The monitoring and storing process is repeated each time a file system request is made by the application program to track changes made to the selected file. At the time of synchronization, if the application program is no longer modifying the selected file and the selected file is closed, all entries in the first file are applied to the second copy of the selected file. As a result, synchronization of both copies of the selected files is achieved.

Abstract: An apparatus is disclosed including a left end piece, a right end piece, and a pillow. The left end piece may have a recess into which a left portion of the pillow can be inserted. The right end piece may have a recess into which a right portion of the pillow can be inserted. The pillow may be substantially softer than the left end piece and the right end piece. The pillow, the left end piece, and the right end piece can be inserted into a sleeve.

The first knife typically includes a first attachment device and the second knife includes a second attachment device to attach the two knives together. The first and second attachment devices can be detached to detach the two knives from each other. The first and second knives can be folding type knives. The first attachment device may be comprised of a first plate having an opening. The second attachment device may be comprised of a protrusion. The protrusion of the second attachment device can be inserted into the opening of the first plate to attach the first knife to the second knife.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a loudspeaker located inside a housing and a loudspeaker cover is disclosed. An audio signal source supplies an audio signal to the loudspeaker within the housing. The loudspeaker cover includes one or more light sources and is porous to allow sound waves generated by the loudspeaker to be emitted from within the housing through loudspeaker cover. The loudspeaker cover may be comprised of a plurality of optical fibers which may be arranged in any pattern. A user input device may be provided which allows a user to selectively activate one or more of the plurality of procedures to drive the light sources based on frequency and amplitude. The apparatus may further include a control device which may determine frequency and amplitude data for the audio signal and control one or more of the light sources based on the frequency and amplitude data. A method is further disclosed comprising constructing a porous cover having a plurality of light sources for a loudspeaker.

Abstract: A system and a method for automated, electrophysiological assessment of visual function in glaucoma suspects and patients is provided using visual evoked potentials measured in response to periodic stimuli presented to the patients. The method may be comprised of the steps of entering a patient's information into a computer, initializing a visual stimulus for the patient, recording a plurality of visual evoked potential signals obtained from one or more electrodes attached to the patient's scalp, saving and processing digitized data relating to the visual evoked potential signals, and determining if the likelihood of glaucoma is high or low based on the data.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for receiving or converting a radio frequency signal. In particular, the present invention relates to a method and apparatus using an electronic circuit to combine a radio frequency signal, also known as a test signal, its reference signal and a third signal which has its predetermined frequency. The combination of these three signals gives rise to a new signal. The new signal has a frequency that is solely responsive to the predetermined frequency of the third signal. It also has phase information that is responsive to that of the test signal. In addition, the new signal may also have amplitude information that is responsive to that of the test signal.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and a method for providing more realistic shooting input for shooting video games on computers or similar devices is provided. The apparatus may be comprised of a mock shooting device, such as a gun, having a lighting device containing a plurality of light sources. The apparatus may also include a screen device for displaying visual target objects of a video shooting game, at which a game player can shoot at with the mock shooting device, a video camera that captures video images of the mock shooting device, and a computing device that computes the hit position of the mock shooting device on the screen device based on the captured video images. The determined hit position can then be fed to the video shooting game software run by the computing device which can determine if a visual target object is actually hit or not, and reacts accordingly.

The lamp, the light valve and the lens may cooperate to project, for example, an ownership image, a fixture identifier image, a time identifier image, a show identifier image, a content identifier image, or an effects identifier image. The lamp, the light valve and the lens may cooperate to produce a first image on a projection surface and a second image may be created from the first image by applying an interactive effect to the first image in response to an image captured by a camera.
