    Abstract: An embodiment of the invention relates to an all-digital spread spectrum clock generator comprising a phase detector, a time-to-digital converting unit, a digital loop filter, a delta-sigma modulator and a digital controlled oscillator. The phase detector receives a reference signal and a clock feedback signal to output first and second difference signals. The time-to-digital converting unit comprises timing amplifier to receive and amply the first and second difference signals to generate digital data. The digital loop filter receives and accumulates digital data to output first and second digital data. The delta-sigma modulator receives the second digital data to generate a resolution tuning word. The digital controlled oscillator adjusts its frequency of output clock signal according to the first difference signal, the second difference signal and the first digital data, and adjusts a resolution of the digital controlled oscillator according to the resolution tuning word.

    Abstract: A syringe pump is equipped with mechanism for easy handling of syringes of different sizes. The syringe pump is equipped with a plunger holding device. The plunger holding device includes a retainer housing with two retainer bars. The plunger holding device also includes two handles and a sensing plate. When two handles move toward each other, the retainer housing moves forward and two retainer bars moves away from each other. When two handles are released, the retainer housing slides back over a dowel pin attached to the sensing plate and the retainer bars return to their initial position. A plunger's disc can be securely held by the retainer bars without introducing error in the sensing of the pushing force of the syringe plunger.

An operation member has a flange which is rotatably engaged with a groove defined in the inner periphery of the space and the flange includes a pressing surface which presses one of the flat surfaces of the two pawls by operating the operation member. By choosing one of the pawls to be engaged with the ratchet, the ratchet tool can output torque in desired direction.

The driving module monitors a transmission error rate of the data received by the data receiving terminal. If the transmission error rate exceeds a predetermined value, the divisor is automatically adjusted to generate a second transmission rate. The second transmission rate is also provided to replace the first transmission rate.
