Abstract: A method and system for removing contaminants from contaminated soil at a site utilizes particle size segregation and particle density segregation to yield a plurality of fractions, whereby each of the fractions are tested and identified for the presence of unacceptable levels of contaminants, and the soil fractions from the contaminated soil at the site corresponding to the identified contaminated fractions are collected for subsequent disposal or treatment, while the remaining untainted soil fractions are homogenized and returned to the site.

Abstract: Disclosed is a markup system and method for converting text-based guidelines into a form that allows manipulation and viewing in different formats and detail. The system identifies conditions described in electronic documents and uses an interactive or rule-based processor to annotate (or tag) the text with the symbols and vocabulary of a hypertext markup language. Any electronic document, text-based or having a mix of graphics, audio, video, and/or pre-defined hypertext in addition to text, containing statements, indices, variables, decision points, and recommendations is adaptable for use with this system. The annotated text may be provided to others over a network for application. The annotated text may also be parsed by a validation engine to check it against the original to see that the logic and sentence structure has not been damaged.

A composite of two sulfide materials are then layered over the reflective substance. Abstract: A pressure sensor assembly comprised of a single and dual layer diaphragm with integrated force sensing flexure, such as a cantilever beam. Strain gages are positioned on the force sensing beam. The pressure forces the diaphragm to deflect. The deflection is constrained by the beam, which is compelled to bend. The bending induces strains in strain gages located on the beam. The strain gages are connected in a Wheatstone bridge configuration. When a voltage is applied to the bridge, the strain gages provide an electrical output signal proportional to the pressure. Composite diaphragm—beam pressure sensors convert pressure more efficiently and improve sensor performance.
