  • Patent number: 5768375
Abstract: An image-data-system host computer outputs image data, the protocol of which is not disclosed. The image data outputted from the image-data-system host computer is transmitted via an image-data-system terminal and a video control unit to a data management unit. On the other hand, the data management unit decrypts in accordance with a protocol and acquires text data outputted from a text-system host computer whose protocol is disclosed. A signal transmitting unit transmits the image data and the text data outputted from the data management unit via a coaxial cable to a display unit. The display unit displays images in response to the image data and the text data received from the signal transmitting unit.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a system for guiding a missile in alignment onto a moving target. In particular, the guidance computer of the system has a first unit for estimating the state of the missile and the movements of a target on the basis of the measurement of the position of the missile with respect to a datum axis, obtained by angular deviation measuring means, and by using a model of the dynamic behavior of the missile as well as kinematic model of the target. Additionally, the guidance computer has a second unit linked to the first unit for deriving tracking orders and datum values for slaving the missile, and a third unit linked to the first and second units for deriving the control order applied to the missile and the first unit.

  • Patent number: 5760903
Abstract: Inputs output beams of a laser that have been oscillation-frequency modulated by an injection current control by a power source into a beam splitter through a lens and an isolator, detects beams reflected from a first half-mirror and passing through a path, beams reflected from a second half-mirror and passing through a path, and beams reflected from an object to be measured and passing through a path, with a photodetector, detects a beat frequency signal according to an optical interference of the above-described three types of reflected beams with a frequency detector, and calculates a distance to the object to be measured from the three beat frequencies with a signal processing unit. Can measure the distance in high precision by erasing a change rate of the oscillation frequency modulation and speed of light and by eliminating an influence of fluctuations, based on information of the three frequencies.

  • Patent number: 5758409
Abstract: An apparatus for placing electrically-conductive balls on electrodes of workpieces so as to form projected electrodes includes a ball-placing head which picks up the conductive balls from a reservoir. Suction holes for respectively suction-holding the conductive balls are formed in a lower surface of a box member of the ball-placing head. Recesses are formed respectively in portions of this lower surface where the suction holes are not formed. The box member of the ball-placing head is caused to rest on an upper surface of layers of conductive balls stored in a container of the reservoir. In this condition gas is blown or injected into the container so as to fluidize the conductive balls. At this time the gas flows upward into the recesses in the lower surface of the box member, thereby sufficiently fluidizing the whole of the upper layer of conductive balls, so that all of the suction holes can effectively and securely pick up and hold the conductive balls.

  • Patent number: 5758039
Abstract: Upon issuance of a check, predetermined mark data are added to data and letters indicating an amount of money so as to be converted into new data and letters indicating the amount of money. Further, the printing capacity of a preset printing area on the check is compared with the volume of printing data to be printed, and a printing font to be used is selected in accordance with a result of the comparison. A separate template on which a plurality of initial printing positions and codes for indicating the initial printing positions are indicated is superposed with the check, and the corresponding code is inputted so as to designate an initial printing position. With this arrangement, it is possible to provide a small-sized printer which can enhance the visibility of the content printed on the check, can prevent the letters indicating an amount of money on the check from being raised so as to enhance the trust in banking transaction, and can easily set an optimum printing position.
