  • Patent number: 5706778
Abstract: A fuel injection system which includes an injection valve for a self-igniting internal combustion engine with direct fuel injection, in particular for liquefied gas fuels, and which is configured as a pintle-type nozzle opening against the force of at least one spring, has the opening force of its fuel needle directly provided by the magnetic force of a solenoid so as to create simplified rate shaping. The magnetic force increases quadratically with the needle lift vis-a-vis the force of the spring increasing linearly with the needle lift, resulting in an opening velocity of the needle increasing approximately quadratically, at least in certain regions, thus permitting small pintle lifts, and the needle has a maximum needle lift of smaller than 1 mm, i.e., preferably smaller than 0.5 mm.

  • Patent number: 5702591
Abstract: The present invention concerns a method of separating variable ores containing copper, lead, zinc and the like as the refining material for non-ferrous metals and gangue minerals such as pyrite, quartz, feld spar and the like from dug out ores and, particularly, it relates to a flotation method. For obtaining non-ferrous metal valuable ores as concentrates from ores by a flotation method, flotation is conducted by using gaseous sulfurous acid or aqueous sulfurous acid as a depressant for controlling the floatability of pyrite. The flotation method comprises measuring the redox potential of an ore solution before and after the addition of gaseous sulfurous acid or aqueous sulfurous acid and determining an optimum addition amount by utilizing a proportional relationship present between the difference of the potential and the valuable quality enhancing rate.

  • Patent number: 5702058
Abstract: A foamer nozzle assembly has a foaming barrel defining a turbulence chamber for creating foam upon actuation of the trigger of a trigger sprayer as the conical spray impacts against the smooth inner surface of the barrel as so to emerge as loosely compacted, large foam bubbles having a relatively wide foam spread. A foaming grid in the form of an offset rectangular mesh screen is mounted on a hinged panel for movement between operative and inoperative positions. In the former the grid lies coaxial with the discharge orifice and provides a supplemental foam generator for breaking up the foam bubbles into finer and more concentrated foam having a relatively smaller foam spread. The grid comprises first and second sets of ribs lying in first and second parallel planes, the ribs of the first set being contiguous to the ribs of the second set, and the ribs being mutually spaced apart to define uniformly sized openings therebetween.

  • Patent number: 5702020
Abstract: A drinking mug for small children, handicapped and hospital patients, comprising a cup, a lid and a suction tube, is configured in an airtight manner so that only access to the inside of the mug is through the suction tube. Tightness is achieved by disposing the suction tube on the inside of the lid on a drinking spout and by providing a sealing ring in the joint between the lid and the cup. Due to the airtight construction, when liquid is sucked up an under pressure is created inside the mug which subsequently empties the suction tube of liquid. Correspondingly, an attempt by the liquid to run out through the suction tube when the mug is tipped over is counteracted by the siphon effect which results from the airtight construction.
