  • Patent number: 7064639
Abstract: A magnetic latching switch. The switch includes a pair of switch terminals, a switch actuator, an electromagnet and a biasing member. The switch actuator is manually moveable from a first position where the switch terminals are in a first state to a second position where the switch terminals are in a second state. The electromagnet selectively applies a magnetic field. Applying the magnetic field with the electromagnet when the switch actuator is in the second position maintains the switch actuator in the second position. The biasing member is coupled to the switch actuator such that the biasing member automatically returns the switch actuator from the second position to the first position when the magnetic field is removed.

  • Patent number: 7048964
Abstract: The system includes a nozzle, a drive, a metering pump, a supply of material and a controller. The nozzle dispenses material into contact with one or more surfaces of a window sash. The drive relatively moves the nozzle with respect to the window sash along a path of travel defined by a perimeter of the window sash at controlled speeds. The metering pump delivers the material to the nozzle at controlled volumetric rates that correspond to the controlled speeds of relative motion between the nozzle and the sash. The supply of material delivers the material to the metering pump. The controller controls the relative motion between the window sash and the nozzle and controls the flow rate of material dispensed by the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 7034674
Abstract: An hour meter having a display that provides a visual indication of a total time an engine has operated and a visual indication of engine operation time remaining in a predetermined service time interval. A plurality of segments on the display are selectively displayed in a first optical state or a second optical state. A display drive displays the segments in the first optical state at a beginning of a predetermined service interval. The drive changes the optical state of a first segment from the first optical state to the second optical state when a given portion of the predetermined service time interval has elapsed. The drive incrementally changes the state of a remainder of the plurality of segments from the first optical state to said second optical state as additional portions of the predetermined service time interval elapse to graphically display the amount of engine operation time remaining in the predetermined service time interval.

  • Patent number: 7026581
Abstract: A wafer support position control mechanism selectively positions a semiconductor wafer along an axis of excursion within a process chamber. An elevator tube protrudes through an orifice in the chamber surface and is connected at a first distal end to the wafer support. A compliant, dynamic seal within the orifice engages the elevator tube to form a gas curtain within a gap between the seal and the elevator tube to seal the process chamber. A moveable carriage is connected to the elevator tube at a second distal end for moving the wafer support along the axis of excursion. Rigid mechanical structure couples the second distal end of the elevator tube to the moveable carriage.

  • Patent number: 7010388
Abstract: A transfer system for use with a tool for treating a work-piece at sub-atmospheric pressure such as an ion implanter for implanting silicon wafers. An enclosure defines a low pressure region for treatment of work-pieces placed at a work-piece treatment station within the low pressure region. Multiple work-piece isolation load locks transfer work-pieces, one or two at a time, from a higher pressure region to the lower pressure for treatment and back to said higher pressure subsequent to said treatment. A first robot transfers work-pieces within the low pressure region from the load locks to a treatment station within the low pressure region. Multiple other robots positioned outside the low pressure region transfers work-pieces to and from the multiple work-piece isolation load locks from a source of said work-pieces prior to treatment and to a destination of said work-pieces after said treatment.

  • Patent number: 7000325
Abstract: A power operated knife comprises a blade supporting structure supporting an annular blade for rotation about a central axis. The blade and blade supporting structure are engagable along bearing contact locations that are spaced apart in a direction parallel to the axis so that the blade is stabilized both radially and axially as the knife operates. The blade supporting structure comprises a split blade housing member that is radially expandible and contractible to receive the blade. The split blade housing member and blade engage along relatively short lines of bearing contact that serve to minimize friction and blade heating when the knife operates. The bearing locations are spaced apart both circumferentially around the blade perimeter and in the direction of the axis so that the blade position is stabilized during operation of the knife.
