Abstract: A packer cup for sealing the interior of a pipe under pressure includes a first region of relatively soft material and a second region of relatively hard material. The region of the relatively softer material would begin at the lip of the cup and extend for at least one third the length of the cup up to the entire length of the cup.
Abstract: In a coupling mechanism, an inner peripheral wall of a coupling main body is inscribed with an outer side ring groove of containing an outer peripheral side edge portion of a stopper member, a stopper member introducing port formed by a width wider than a width dimension of a strip member of the stopper member is inscribed at a position of an outer wall portion of the coupling main body slightly shifted from a position of inscribing the outer side ring groove to a side of an inserting front end, the stopper member is applied with a spiral torsion such that both end portions opposed to each other of the strip member slightly carry out core deviation, an inner peripheral wall of the outer side ring groove is formed by a taper face in a state of being expanded from a rear end side to a front end side in an inserting direction, also an outer peripheral wall of the stopper member is formed by a taper face of a shape in correspondence with the taper face of the outer side ring groove, the inner peripheral wall of t
Abstract: A device for generating and maintaining a standing wave face capable of being ridden by an individual. The device includes a container having a base wall and a sidewall and containing a fluid, at least one inlet into the container, and means for imparting a combination of rotational vertical and horizontal velocity to a fluid with-in the container.
Abstract: A suturing apparatus for the continuous application of a suture includes a suturing head shaped and dimensioned for attachment to a distal end of a support member. The suturing head includes a track shaped and dimensioned for receiving a needle for movement about the track. A support arm includes first and second lateral arms connected by a central connecting member supporting the track. The support arm includes a longitudinal axis and the track lies in a transverse plane. Angular orientation of the support arm relative to the track is achieved by positioning the transverse plane of the track at an oblique angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the support arm such that operators are provided with improved access to the surgical site. A drive assembly is coupled to the needle for controlled movement about the track.
