Abstract: A golf swing training aid to allow a golfer to learn the correct swing path utilizes a mat having three visual guidelines displayed thereon or therethrough. One guideline is aimed at the target. A second guideline would guide the club head on the back swing and a third guideline would show a greater inside angle to the target line that the club should make on its approach to the ball. A pair of bars are attached to the golf mat which would aid in correctly aligning the golfer's body to provide the proper stance when addressing a golf ball.

Abstract: Whole organisms are inactivated by at least a factor of 106 using carbon dioxide at or near its supercritical pressure and temperature conditions.
Abstract: A supply unit including a funnel-shaped container for receiving a quantity of unsorted, or randomly oriented, nuts and bolts, a conveyor that is driven, in a reciprocating manner, along an inwardly tapering interior wall of the container. The upper carrying surface of the conveyor dips into the unsorted nuts and bolts on its downward stroke and picks up some of the nuts and bolts. On its upward stroke, or travel, the conveyor cooperates with the adjacent wall to properly orient the majority of the nuts and bolts. Some of the improperly oriented nuts and bolts may fall off the conveyor during its upward travel. Blasts of air, or mechanical deflectors, cause other improperly oriented nuts and bolts to fall back into the container. A step is formed near the top of the container, and the upward travel of the conveyor term mates above the step. The properly oriented nuts and bolts are transferred away from the container by a transport assembly located in proximity to the step.
Abstract: A balancing mechanism for an equilibrium game wherein a hub is connected to a tripod by a universal joint. A plurality of radially extending arms having cups on their outer ends are connected to the hub. A depending pointer is connected to the hub and extends downwardly therefrom to a Cartesian coordinate graph positioned centrally of the tripod. A plurality of weights are placed in the cups to cause the pointer to become positioned at a certain X,Y point on the graph.
Abstract: A method of producing a functional layer on a substrate, such as metal would include the steps of applying an electrostatic powder as a primer coat to the substrate, after which the primer is cured by a laser. A conductive layer is then applied and cured to form a functional layer, such as conductive tracings over all or a portion of the substrate.
Abstract: A mirror attached to a weapon such as a rifle, pistol or shotgun. The gun mirror is a slightly convex mirror seated in a flexible seat which is anchored to a weapon by flexible legs which may be magnetic or have a threaded fastener or have hook/loop fasteners.
Abstract: A gastric reduction apparatus that facilitates the creation of a transoral linear passageway through the stomach includes an elongated body including a proximal end and a distal end. The elongated body is generally sinusoidal shaped with at least one tissue engaging surface oriented such that a needle will pass therethrough. The elongated body also includes at least one needle passing channel respectively formed adjacent the at least one tissue engaging surface. The at least one needle passing channel generally passes through the center of the sinusoidal waveforms defined by the at least one tissue engaging surface such that a needle will pass entirely through stomach tissue contacting the tissue engaging surface of the elongated body. The elongated body further includes a suture passing channel.

Abstract: A linear surgical stapler adapted for applying a plurality of surgical fasteners to body tissue includes an anvil structure and a cartridge housing containing a plurality of surgical fasteners and a knife. The cartridge housing and anvil structure are relatively movable between a first spaced apart position and a second position in close approximation with one another. A firing mechanism is associated with the cartridge housing for ejecting the surgical fasteners from the cartridge housing to be driven against the anvil structure. The firing mechanism includes a slide bar at its distal end adjacent the cartridge housing. A lockout mechanism interacts with the cartridge housing for selective activation and deactivation of the firing mechanism by disconnecting the distal end of the slide bar from a component housed within the cartridge housing.

Abstract: A condenser microphone having a capsule with a cardioid pattern diaphragm on opposite sides of a back plate wherein each diaphragm is selectively activated via a switch to complete the audio circuit. The microphone employs two different diaphragm materials to produce two different sound reproduction characteristics. A first diaphragm produces a “warm and lush” sound output, while the second diaphragm produces a “bright and airy” sound output. The microphone includes the use of a pair of light emitting diodes located behind the grill indicating which capsule diaphragm is activated. The dual diaphragm arrangement is mounted on a standard microphone body and includes conventional electronics for connection to an associated piece of audio equipment producing phantom power.

The base member includes a first end and a second end. A first upstanding member is secured to the first end of the base member. The first upstanding member includes a first end secured to the first end of the base member and a second end. The first upstanding member includes coupling structure which secures the base of the camera to the first upstanding member. A second upstanding member is secured to the second end of the base member, the second upstanding member including a first end secured to the first end of the base member for selective movement relative thereto and a second end. The second upstanding member includes a plate member and a second transverse plate coupled to the plate member.
