  • Patent number: 7094924
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for decreasing the surface defects of a patterned photoresist layer on a substrate surface obtained by the procedure comprising the steps of (a) forming a photoresist layer of a positive-working chemical-amplification photoresist composition on the substrate surface, (b) patternwise exposing the photoresist layer to actinic rays, (c) subjecting the patternwise-exposed photoresist layer to a post-exposure baking treatment and (d) a development treatment. The improvement can be accomplished by bringing the photoresist layer after the post-exposure baking treatment into contact with an aqueous acidic solution having a pH of 3.5 or lower for 1 to 90 seconds. The acid contained in the aqueous acidic solution is preferably an aromatic sulfonic acid or, more preferably, a diphenyl ether sulfonic acid such as dodecyl(diphenyl ether) disulfonic acids.

  • Patent number: 7095592
Abstract: Disclosed is a head slider having excellent shock resistance, a head supporter, as well as a disk drive using the head slider. The head slider is characterized in a form of its opposite-to-disk surface, such that a fixed point is set at a position located outwardly of a rear end portion of the head slider and at a predetermined distance from a load application point, which load urges the slider toward a disk. When a shock force is externally applied to the head slider, the head slider is rotated about this fixed point such that at least one of pitch angle and roll angle is maintained positive. Because of this structure, a disk drive excellent in shock resistance can be provided.

  • Patent number: 7093300
Abstract: In the event that an electronic apparatus having a security function is forcibly put into an inoperable state because electric power is shut off once by an operation equivalent to theft, the inoperable state can be canceled by using a code notified by the dealer by telephone, without carrying the electronic apparatus in its dealer. After electric power is supplied again, the vehicle-mounted compact disc (abbreviated as CD) reproduction apparatus is used to play back a CD, and its TOC information is used as a judgment identification code C1. When the code C1 is identical to the authorized identification code A21, the electronic apparatus is made operable. In order to cancel the inoperable state after the number of inconsistencies becomes 10 or more, the individual code A22 of an EEPROM 21 is indicated and notified to the dealer. The dealer carries out calculation by using the individual code A22, and a result B2 of the calculation is notified to the user. The user inputs the calculation result B2.

  • Patent number: 7090776
Abstract: The present invention provides a water activating apparatus having a relatively simple structure without the possibility of water leakage and achieving highly efficient activation. An N pole of the permanent magnet and an S pole of the other magnet are vertically arranged above and below a water flow tube so as to be opposed to each other. Concave yokes are formed by molding magnetic metal or magnetic ceramic, with one yoke being attached to encase the N pole of the permanent magnet and the other yoke being attached to encase the S pole of the other permanent magnet. The vertically-arranged concave yokes have a gap therebetween so as not to make a contact at their ends with each other. Furthermore, a non-magnetic conductive metal layer is provided inside the concave yokes. Water is caused to pass through the water flow tube in a direction perpendicular to a direction of magnetic lines of force and a direction of an electromotive current.
