  • Patent number: 5581059
Abstract: A rotary switch with three controlling positions in a circulating sequence of "Off", a small output, and a large output, includes a cover and a base connected with the cover. A rotor which is made of an electrically insulating material and provided with three cam parts along its circumferential periphery, is mounted in the base to rotate an electrically conductive plate with two side portions engaged with two of the cam parts. A first, second and third leaf spring respectively has a fixed end connected with an input wire, an input end of a diode, and an output wire of the switch and a free end extending toward the rotor. The fixed end of the third leaf spring is also connected with an output end of the diode. When the switch is set to the "Off" position, the first leaf spring contacts with the rotor, and the other two leaf springs contact with the conductive plate via the two side portions thereof.

  • Patent number: 5561996
Abstract: A gearshift lock is used to prevent a gearshift from moving with respect to a gearshift seat from which the gearshift extends. The gearshift lock includes a locking box firmly attached on the gearshift seat and includes two passages therein. Two first springs each are respectively received in a corresponding one of the passages of the locking box. A U-shaped latch includes a curved rod and two prongs each of which is received in a corresponding passage of the locking box. A motor is positioned in the locking box and includes a toothed rotor head. A spring-biased engaging device is positioned in the locking box and engaged to the two prongs of the U-shaped latch thus limiting the two prongs of the U-shaped latch in the passages of the locking box and the curved rod of the U-shaped latch enclosing the gearshift thus preventing the gearshift from being moved. A control circuit functions to drive the motor in response to a reception of an effective control signal from a remote control.

  • Patent number: 5562348
Abstract: A roller bushing assembly for use in a vehicular leaf spring suspension system pivotally supports an end of a leaf spring so as to minimize transmission of roadway induced shock and vibration loads to the vehicle and driver. The roller bushing assembly includes a tubular housing containing roller bearings for support of a shaft which is connected to a vehicle chassis. Free flexure of the spring is facilitated by providing low friction pin connections that minimize resistance of the vehicle/spring connections to rotation of the spring ends and extension and contraction of the spring. A method of installation of a bushing having bearings therein includes supporting the bearings on a pilot and force-fitting the tubular housing into a spring eye with a pressing tool. After removal of the pilot from the bearings, the shaft is inserted into the bearings and seals are slid along the shaft to abut and seal the bearings against intrusion of foreign matter.

The carrier (202) carries the carton (12) into a carriage (226), with the carton (12) sandwiched therebetween. The closure flaps (22-25) are opened by a device (242) including fingers (254-257) which are pivoted to an expanded position after their insertion through an opening (27) in the closure flaps (22-25). An elevator (212) raises the carton (12) in the carriage (226) while the carton (12) is still under compression, with suction cups (56,171-173) then being attached to the closure flaps (22-25). The carriage (226) can then be moved to a loading position and back where the closure flaps (22-25) of the loaded carton (12) are fan folded by a device (120). The elevator (212) can then be lowered where the closed carton (12) can be pushed therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5543699
Abstract: A device (10) is disclosed including a discharge unit (54) having a vertical conveyor (56) formed by a pair of vertically arranged belts (58) each including circumferentially spaced shelves (60) defining a plurality of evenly spaced flights. A diverting conveyor (16) is pivotally mounted about its infeed end so that its outfeed end can be moved to be synchronous with one of the flights of the discharge unit (54) or to an overflow position. In particular, a servo motor (50) pivots the diverting conveyor (16) under the control of a controller (74) depending upon whether product is detected by a sensor (52) in the diverting conveyor (16), upon the rate that the flights of the discharge unit (54) are moving, and upon the pivotal position of the diverting conveyor (16). The device (10) is then able to place products which are fed to the diverting conveyor (16) with random spacing into the flights without bumping or bunching the products together.
