Abstract: A jamb liner is mounted in the side jamb tracks of a window frame to mount window units of double hung windows for slidable movement between opened and closed positions. The liner includes transversely spaced channel guides, each guide mounting a guide member that is attached to the adjacent window unit. Flanges are joined to the guides for forming a close fit with the adjacent window unit while, to each guide, there is joined a wing to form a seal with the web of the adjacent jamb to block fluid flow between the window units and the side jamb from one transverse side of the unit sash to the other. The wings of the liner are arcuately curved to transversely diverge from one another in a direction toward the jamb web. The wings are of a substantially greater resiliency than the rest of the liner, said rest of the liner being semi-rigid and made of extruded plastic.
Abstract: A portable lock stitch sewing machine includs a driving mechanism, a transmitting mechanism and a number of guiding mechanisms. The function of the driving mechanism is to transfer a battery power to pivotally connected members to make them move as required by a user. The transmitting mechanism then transmits the power of the battery to related members to fulfill the sewing performance and the number of guiding mechanism are used to ensure the tension on threads.
Abstract: A carrier tape (12) is disclosed including a plurality of longitudinally spaced pockets (22) extending parallel to index holes (20). Each pocket (22) includes side walls (24) and a bottom (26) having provisions (28) for holding a microchip (32). Abutments (38) having semicircular cross sections are integrally formed on the side walls (24) for engaging the free ends of the leads (34) of the microchip (32) to prevent their engagement with the side walls (24). A greater number of abutments (38) at lesser spacings are provided than the leads (34) of the microchip (32) to prevent the leads (34) from hooking between the abutments (38). The abutments (38) are arranged to minimize the number of leads (34) actually engaged and to minimize the actual area contacted by the free ends of the leads (34) with the abutments (38). The shape of the abutments (38) also optically disperses major portions of the reflection of the leads (34).

A wire-leading position device connects the distal end of the third section arm. Two legs are at the rear bottom end of the main body. A grip is at a rear end of the main body.
Abstract: An apparel accessory (10) is disclosed including a scarf body (12) formed by folding a sheet (20) of fabric to create first and second layers (22, 24) overlying each other and having staggered, free longitudinal edges. First and second, parallel, spaced, longitudinal rows of stitches (26, 28) extend through layers (22, 24) generally intermediate the longitudinal edges of the scarf body (12) and form and define a tunnel (30) for frictionally, slideably receiving a drawstring (16). By pushing the scarf body (12) relative to the drawstring (16), the scarf body (12) can be variably held in a gathered, three dimensional condition on the drawstring (16) for draping on the wearer in a variety of positions and modes. The portions of the drawstring (16) beyond the scarf body (12) in its gathered condition provide tying provisions for the accessory (10) for tying the ends together and/or for tying the ends to the clothing of the wearer.
Abstract: A connector (10) for tubular members (12, 14) is disclosed including first and second connector elements (16, 18) each having U-shaped cross sections and first and second jaw members (20, 22). A set screw (30) is threaded into the central portion (24) of the second connector element (18) intermediate the first and second jaw members (20, 22) and has an end abutting with the central portion (24) of the first connector element (16). A collar (32) encircles the first and second connector elements (16, 18) and the set screw (30) intermediate the jaw members (20, 22), with the first and second connector elements (16, 18) being biased apart by an O-ring (38) positioned between the connector elements (16, 18) and around the set screw (30).
Abstract: A portable hand-held golf ball washer includes a washer fluid reservoir within a sealed housing, a concave portion overcovered with a moisture retaining pad, and a valve with a spring closure openable by pushing a ball into the pad to permit flow of washer fluid into the pad.
Abstract: Rotational control apparatus in the forms of fan clutches (A, A') are shown including an eddy current drive (224). Specifically, the eddy current drive (224) includes a plurality of permanent magnets (226) mounted circumferentially spaced and with alternating polarity by a holder (228) to the input or output of the clutch (A, A') and a magnetically conductive ring (242) mounted to the other of the input or output of the clutch (A, A'). Thus, the output portion and the fan blades mounted thereto are driven at engine speeds when the clutch (A, A') is air actuated and are driven at a rotational speed less than engine speed by the eddy current drive (224) when the clutch (A, A') is not air actuated and without separate controls for the eddy current drive (224). A housing (62) comprises the output portion of the clutch (A) which is rotatably mounted by a bearing (58) to the hub portion (24) of a friction disc (28) which comprises the input portion of the clutch (A).

Abstract: A continuous motion stacking apparatus (10) is disclosed including a positive drive device (14) which places abutting products on a conveyor (12). When the leading series of products is detected to have reached a predetermined position by a sensor (94), the series of products are pushed from the conveyor (12) by a pusher plate (32) which has a first movement component equal to the conveying speed parallel to the conveyor (12) and a second movement component perpendicular to the conveyor (12). The series of products are pushed onto a shelf (30) simultaneously moving perpendicular to the conveyor (12) with the pusher plate (32). When the shelf (30) retracts, the products fall onto a vertically, movable platform (24) or products supported thereon. A guide (34) moves forward at the conveying speed parallel to the conveyor (12) to keep the remaining products on the conveyor (12) and to keep the last product of the series being pushed from the conveyor (12) parallel to the conveyor (12).
