Abstract: A multipurpose fishing tool for tying knots comprises an improvement in a known fishing forceps by adding an annular groove around the nose of the forceps. The grove is of sufficient depth to retain a loop of fishing line, which is twisted as the forceps jaws are moved in a rotary or nutating motion. The forceps jaws are also utilized to hold the fishing line during the knot typing process.
Abstract: A universal design of a multiple layer printed circuit board incorporates a series of routing vias interconnecting the various layers. The routing vias are connected to conductive traces in the internal trace layers by internal junctions. The internal junctions are located on the via so that internal junctions may be selectively severed by means of a laser or high pressure water cutting system or other fine line cutting tool or mechanism to customize the circuit design for a particular semiconductor device or integrated circuit.
Abstract: A tissue removal device is used with a standard Kleppinger bipolar forceps. A cleaning element held on a tube fitting over the Kleppinger forceps tubes, is used to remove coagulated tissue from between the forceps blades and clean the blades. A motion restrictor also is disclosed which prevents excessive movement of the tissue removal device.

Abstract: Improved push button release for a centrifugal golf swing indicator which releases the indicator weight when the push button is depressed, and resets the golf swing indicator for the next use when the release button is released. Further improvements include a pair of opposed C-clamp attachments and an indicator for the indicator weight.
Abstract: Strip edge relief is adjusted in a twenty-high cluster rolling mill by a set of double-tapered intermediate rolls in contact with the work roll. Rolling forces bend the work roll ends toward the tapered sections of the intermediate rolls to provide strip edge relief. Hydraulic actuators rotatably contact journals on the intermediate rolls and exert bending forces bending forces which bend the intermediate rolls so as to bending in the work rolls. This adjusts the strip edge relief.
Abstract: Apparatus for remotely powering access equipment over a 10/100 switched Ethernet network comprises an Ethernet switch card with a phantom power supply for remote access equipment and added circuitry for automatic detection of remote equipment being connected to the network; determining whether the remote equipment is capable of accepting remote power in a non-intrusive manner; delivering the phantom power to the remote equipment over the same wire pairs that deliver the data signals, and automatically detecting if the remote equipment is removed from the network.
Abstract: An Ethernet Local Area Network uses a star topology connecting user stations to a Communications Switching Module (CSM) with 10Base-T or 100 Base-TX UTP cable. Each user station typically has a digital telephone and a data communication device, such as a PC communicating with the CSM through a common UTE adapter. Delay-sensitive digital voice signals and non-delay sensitive user data are transported in master Ethernet packets of fixed length transmitted at a fixed rate. Segmentation and re-assembly of data is performed in the UTE adapters and in the CSM.

Abstract: An environmentally controlled greenhouse is located near a landfill site and uses the landfill gas to both heat the greenhouse and furnish a clean carbon dioxide enriched product gas to enhance plant growth. The clean CO2 system product gas is used to regenerate adsorber beds which remove undesirable constituents from the landfill gas. A portion of the landfill gas may also power an extraction steam turbine which heats the greenhouse with extraction steam. The system is controlled to enhance plant growth by adjusting the temperature and CO2 levels.

Abstract: A stereophonic magnetic induction sound system is disclosed which has an audio source, two ear pieces, each having an inductive pick-up coil, and a magnetic induction transmitter connected to the audio source and capable of transmitting different signals to the pick-up coils in the two ear pieces. The transmitter may have two or more antennas, a first conductor for transmitting one signal to one of the antennas, a second conductor for transmitting a different signal to the other antenna, and grounds connected to each antenna. The antennas are comprised of a core with a wires coiled about the core and are shaped and positioned on a user's neck to, at least partially, selectively transmit their respect signals toward a particular, near-by pick-up coil. A connector or stereophonic jack is used to connect the transmitter to an audio source, and a supporting member secures the antennas around a user's neck and restricts movement of the antennas relative to the neck.
Abstract: A dive boot for wearing with swim fins and having a felt sole to prevent slipping on underwater objects when entering the water without the fin.
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a presentation easel which serves as a foundation for a robust, modular, presentation system. In addition, the presentation easel is highly customizable to a wide variety of customer needs and desires. In an exemplary embodiment, the presentation easel comprises a rectangular frame including first and second horizontal support members and first and second vertical support members, which are all preferably formed of rectangular metal tubes. A fabric shell is provided around the frame and includes an openable side to permit access to a cavity formed between the fabric shell. The cavity is intended to provide a convenient and easy storage area where presentation materials, including relatively large presentation writing pads, may be stored. One surface of the fabric shell is used as a presentation surface to locate and place presentation material and the like.
Abstract: An improved vertical pin probing device is constructed with a housing spaced upper and lower dies of Invar.RTM., which substantially matches the coefficient of thermal expansion of the silicon wafer being probed. Spaced slots in the top and bottom dies of the housing contain inserts of Vespel.RTM.. The inserts are provided with matching patterns of holes supporting probe pins and insulating the probe pins from the housing.
Abstract: An interconnection device used with test probe equipment for connecting a vertical-pin integrated circuit probing device to external test equipment. The interconnection device comprises a probe card with a pattern of contacts, a mounting plate adjustably mounted to the probe card and a space transformer member attached to both the mounting plate and the probe card. The space transformer carries traces which connect a small pattern of pins on the probing device with a larger pattern of conductors on the probe card. The space transformer is a laminated impedance-matching member comprising two layers of beryllium copper separated by a thin dielectric adhesive.

Abstract: A probe holder for a wafer probe station is comprised of a pair of over-and-under rigid extensions, one of which receives the probe shank and the other of which is connected to the probe to make a Kelvin connection. The two coaxial extensions are supported by a vertical tube which contains a pair of coaxial cables connected to triaxial cables outside of the probe station enclosure.
Abstract: An improved supporting closure for a container adapted to hold a viscous liquid and having an externally threaded neck comprising a pivotably connected dispensing cap and a container support. The dispensing cap has an internally threaded, dual diameter, section arranged to fit two sizes of threaded necks, and a projecting end piece defining a dispensing outlet. The container support comprises a substantially dish-shaped member with a peripheral skirt adapted to rest on a flat supporting surface and a central recessed section to receive the projecting end piece of the dispensing cap and a plug to block the dispensing outlet when the container is supported in an inverted position.
