  • Patent number: 3969835
Abstract: A lockable suspension system for a scraper which has a tractor and a bowl pivotally connected to each other and pivotally supported by wheels driven by an engine, and hydraulic jacks attached to the bowl for controlling the vertical position of the bowl. The suspension system includes a lever pivotally attached to the hydraulic jacks, a hydraulic ram pivotally attached to the lever, a shock absorber rigidly attached to the tractor and pivotally attached to the hydraulic ram while being pivotally connected to and pivotally supporting the lever, and a controlling means operatively connected to the hydraulic rams whereby the rams can be locked out.

  • Patent number: 3969034
Abstract: A wedge lock wheel assembly for mounting a tire rim in which the assembly includes a hub rigidly attached to the rim having a chamber with a centerline substantially perpendicular to the disk, a plurality of stops and a plurality of pairs of paired ramps with a known hardness having complex angles relative to the disks, a plurality of sets of paired wedges positioned within the chamber capable of relative motion therebetween and having an aperture passing through each of said pairs, a generally flat and bottom surface, a slope top surface and a hardness greater than the hardness of the ramps, a plurality of restraining members for limiting the motion between sets of said wedge pairs, an axle having horizontal contact surfaces with a hardness greater than the hardness of the wedges and a plurality of connecting elements passing through said wedge apertures for establishing contact between said ramps and said slope surfaces and between said bottom surfaces and said contact surfaces.

  • Patent number: 3961542
Abstract: A cam operated control link mounts on the trunnion shaft of a transmission swash plate through an interposed elastomeric collar or bushing providing for both a damping of vibration transfer from the transmission to the controls and an initial deflection lag of approximately four degrees between rotation of the link and rotation of the trunnion shaft and associated swash plate. Limit pin means preclude an independent movement of the link relative to the trunnion shaft beyond pre-set extremes.
