Abstract: A device for controlling the feeder system of pump-action shotguns having a breech-block which is operatively associated, by virtue of two braces, with a cocking rod (3) moving between two stroke limit positions of the breech-block, a closed position and an open position. The rod motion actuates the feeding of a cartridge from a tubular magazine (5) to a rising block when the breech-block reaches the open position and from the rising block into the firing chamber of the barrel (7) when the breech-block returns to the closed position. The device includes a limiter (9) for limiting the opening stroke of the breech-block and for selectively preventing the breech-block from reaching the open stroke limit position.
Abstract: A stormwater pollution separator and filter apparatus to be fitted inline in a stormwater conduit. The apparatus has an inlet (1) receiving stormwater and leading through an inlet aperture (3) to a separation chamber (4) which then leads to a filtration chamber (5) which is positioned below the inlet aperture (3). A riser (6) leads from the filtration chamber (5) to an outlet (7) which is connected back to the stormwater conduit (3). The inlet opening is connected tangentially into the separation chamber (4) to create, in use, a swirl action in the separation chamber (4) by reason of the flow of the stormwater. The separation chamber (4) is positioned vertically above the filtration chamber (5), and the filtration chamber (5) has one or more filtration baskets (9) positioned in the filtration chamber (5) to receive substantially all the flow of stormwater from the separation chamber (4), the baskets (9) are spaced apart from a wall (10) defining a periphery of the filtration chamber (5).

Abstract: With sanding or sanding machines with rotating sanding tools comprising sanding segments which are rotated in mutually opposite directions, according to the invention a more uniform sanding result and uniform wear on the tools is achieved with a method whereby the tools (10) which are rotated in the direction like a roller are rotated in the direction like a roller are rotated slightly faster than are the tools (1) which are rotated in the opposite direction. The necessary increase in speed has shown to be around 7%, since the individual segments under the increased influence of the centrifugal force will thus obtain the same sanding pressure and herewith a uniform sanding effect for all of the sanding tools regardless of their direction of rotation to thee item.
Abstract: Provided is a hydrogen absorbing alloy powder for use in nickel-metal hydride storage batteries having a high capacity, excellent initial characteristics and a long life. Specifically provided is a process for the production of a hydrogen absorbing alloy powder which includes the steps of treating a hydrogen absorbing alloy powder with an acid solution, and subsequently treating the hydrogen absorbing alloy powder with a solution containing a condensed phosphoric acid having 2 to 20 phosphorus atoms per molecule and/or phytic acid, as well as an electrode formed of the hydrogen absorbing alloy powder produced by the above process.
Abstract: The invention provides a thermal expansion valve for a car air conditioner, which prevents a hunting phenomenon. The thermal expansion valve is provided with a refrigerant passage from an evaporator toward a compressor formed in an inner portion thereof and a temperature sensing and pressure transmitting member having a heat sensing function and forming a hollow portion in an inner portion thereof, which is installed in the passage.
Abstract: An automatic biopsy device includes a needle formed by a cannula and a stylet which is sliding axially inside the cannula and which is equipped with a cavity for receiving a sample of the organ to be examined. The device includes a first moving element and a second moving element mounted slidingly inside a box-like covering and aimed at being fastened respectively to a proximal end of the stylet and to a proximal end of the cannula of the needle. The first moving element and the second moving element are fastened by flexible means to a first cam and to a second cam, respectively. The cams rotate, independently one from the other, about a transversal axis of the covering. A first loading lever and a second loading lever, are pivoted to the covering and drive to rotate, the first cam and the second cam, respectively, against elastic means, so as to move to a loading position the first moving element and the second moving element.

Abstract: The invention concerns a method for the reinforcement of a concrete beam, where the reinforcement comprises reinforcement rods which extend longitudinally and transversely and are locked at their mutual points of intersection. The invention consists of placing at least one reinforcement rod in an undercut corner in a cutout along outer sides of assembly frames disposed transversely to the reinforcement rods in that the assembly frames are two longitudinal girders and two transverse girders. A reinforcement rod may be locked with a spring shackle deformed for gripping around the reinforcement rod and one of the girders.
Abstract: The method and apparatus allow more precise and quicker gluing of frames and mirrors or glass having different shapes and dimensions to furniture panels in general. According to the method, strips of glue are deposited onto a furniture panel by means of sprayer pistols or nozzles and then the frame or the mirror sheet is applied to the panel. The apparatus which carries out the method includes one or more cross-bars sliding over the panel supporting table, and slide carriages carrying the sprayer pistols or nozzles and running along the cross-bar. The apparatus having this configuration can apply the glue along any desired path which preferably matches with the frame or mirror shape. It is also possible to have the apparatus working in accordance with a program prepared in a computer control station.
Abstract: An air separation apparatus to be installed to pipes for separating and expel air from circulating water, includes an air separator having a main body associated with pipes at both sides, an opening lid fixed on the main body by a coupling member for closing/opening the main body, and a plurality of thin metal plates accommodated in the main body with an interval for flowing circulating water, and an air vent having a main body coupled to the air separator, a housing with an air outlet, a float accommodated in the main body and movable up and down, and a valve member on the float for closing/opening the air outlet of the air separator by the up and down movement of the float, wherein since the air vent is formed by engineering plastic molding in a simple structure, it is possible to reduce the manufacturing cost and improve its lifetime and performance.

Abstract: In a device for fixing subcutaneous catheters connected predominantly to a so-called open, or partially implantable system, in which a catheter is connected to a venous port, a peridural space, or other parts of a human body, the catheter is situated outside a subcutaneous pocket and introduced into a relative subcutaneous tunnel. The device includes a disc or a cylinder, which is introduced in said subcutaneous pocket and which features, made therein, at least three tubular through cavities, first, second and third, respectively. The three tubular cavities do not intersect. The catheter is introduced into the three tubular cavities.
