Abstract: A mobile apparatus for dispensing fence wire, especially barbed wire, at varying heights. The apparatus consist of a base, at least one support member secured to the top of the base. The support member extends in an upward direction. The apparatus further includes a cross support member secured horizontally to the top of the support member. In addition, there is at least one spool carrying member secured to the cross support member. The spool carrying member extends outward away from the base. There are two skid receptors secured to the bottom of the base. The skid receptors are secured to the base such that the apparatus can be lifted by a forklift or other such device. There is a traverse member secured to the cross support member and the traverse member extends toward the base and in an upward direction. The apparatus also includes a wire guide that is connected to the traverse member. A purpose of the wire guide is to help guide the fence wire from the apparatus to it intended attachment point on a fence.
Abstract: As improved collapsible bollard is disclosed to control vehicular traffic. The present invention is comprised of a base that has at least one bore, a carriage having at least one bore that corresponds to the bore in the base. There is at least one impact release insert. The impact release insert is seated in the bore of the base. A fastening means is used to secure the impact release insert and the carriage to the base. A sleeve is removably fastened to the carriage. The sleeve has a free floating insert lock, a bias means, and a pulley system. The bias means of the sleeve is positioned to cause a downward bias against the free floating insert lock. The free floating insert lock is attached to the pulley system such that said pulley system is able to move the free floating insert lock in a direction that is opposite to the bias means. In the event the present invention is struck extremely hard, the sleeve will shear from base and the sleeve will typically be unharmed mechanically.
Abstract: A floating buoyant toy is made of one or more mylar, metallicized (coated) film, or elastomeric bladders, or closed envelopes, or balloons encompassing a fixed volume of matter that is lighter than the ambient surrounding matter, a like number of spindle and collar combinations or equivalent rotating structures for rotatably engaging each base or aperture of each balloon, each spindle and collar or each equivalent rotating structure being connected to the bottom of a balloon, each collar being adapted to spin around a spindle, and each spindle being connected at each end to a perimetric enclosure and forming a part thereof, the perimetric enclosure forming a circular ring having an inside diameter sufficient to allow each balloon to pass unencumberedly and repeatedly through the ring, one balloon at a time, as the ring is twirled between two aspects, for example, the right and left hands.
Abstract: A power transformer is provided with a housing having a plurality of apertures for receipt of a bushing well of a bushing assembly. Each bushing assembly includes a bushing well adapted to be secure in one aperture of the power transformer, and a bushing adapted to be connected to a terminal in the bushing well to permit the conducting of electric current between the bushing assembly and the transformer. The bushing assembly further includes a connector for connecting the bushing conductor to a terminal positioned in the bushing well. The power transformer includes a cap to cover and isolate the unused bushing wells. The cap is preferably a plate structure that attaches to the lip of the bushing well and uses the dielectric formed by the air enclosed by the cap and the bushing well to prevent sparking over to adjacent sites, corona discharge, and accidental contact with a live terminal therein, and to guards against contamination of the bushing well.
Abstract: A power service unit suited for providing conditioned power to a consuming device at a remote location. The power service unit includes a charger/rectifier, a back-up power supply, together an automated dialer that contacts a central monitor in the event there is a disruption in the operation of the power service unit. The charger/rectifier accepts an external AC power and converts the external AC power to an internal DC power. The internal DC power maintains the back-up power supply in a fully charged state and the converter accepts the internal DC power and converts the internal DC power to an external DC power as required by the consuming device.

Abstract: A dispensing device for a soluble or dispersible material which comprises a tube formed of a liquid impermeable material and of unitary construction, the tube being closed at both ends and having perforations along a portion of its length or close to one end, and containing a soluble granular material. The device is coated with a material such as sugar or "NUTRA SWEET", the material being rigid in the dry state and soluble when immersed in a liquid. The device is immersed in a liquid which results in a dissolving of material coating permitting the material within device to also disperse into the liquid.
Abstract: A warning device adapted to be laid flat upon a road way produces an audible warning sound when contacted by the wheels of a moving vehicle. The device is comprised of a mat of flexible resilient material having an elongated configuration, and a series of semi-rigid apertured raised longitudinal bumps each with a plurality of segments therein forming a segmented metal bar contained therein and extending throughout the length of each bump. The bumps are spaced a few inches at most over a distance of two to three feet which allows resonant sound from the vibration of the bars and frictional interaction of short segments making up the bars to be transmitted to an overpassing vehicle traveling at high speeds. In addition, the segmented bars reinforce and extend the life of the mat.
Abstract: A method and a system for simulating the conditions that are present during an air quality emergency occurring in a nuclear powered electrical generation plant. The system uses an apparatus which includes a continuous air monitor (C.A.M.) alarm simulator and chart recorder simulator. The C.A.M. alarm simulator comprises a beacon, a siren, an acknowledge button, an internal power source and a digital alarm control. The C.A.M. alarm simulator is capable of being programmed to activate at some predetermined time. The chart recorder simulator is comprised of a chart holder with a window formed therein. A chart indicating the simulated level of airborne nuclear radiation contamination is placed inside the chart holder so that it can be viewed though the window. The chart holder is placed in visual proximity to the C.A.M. alarm simulator. Simulating the air quality emergency comprises the following steps: At least one C.A.M.
Abstract: An adjustable paper collection device constructed with an inward guiding panel and outward guiding panel facilitating the automatic folding of continuous feed printer paper during the discharge thereof for purposes of stacking. The paper collection device may be formed with or separately from a discharge area of a conventional printer and disposed immediately therebeneath. The inward guiding panel being positioned to intercept continuous feed paper from the printer and urge the continuous feed paper in a downward and inward direction; the outward guiding panel positioned to receive the continuous feed paper from the inward guiding panel and urge the continuous feed paper in an inward and downward direction relative to the printer. In this manner, the printer paper will automatically fold as the paper deposits in the basket.
Abstract: A device for removal of dental plaque from the furca, cemento-enamel junction, and gingival pockets in between two adjacent teeth, the device having a dental arm with a detachable dental brush having a malleable spine supported substantially perpendicular from the arm, the arm imparting a tiny mechanical vibratory action from a motor driving an eccentrically mounted cylindrical weight through contact of the brush with the furca, junctions and pockets in between the adjacent teeth. The brush having a conical shape defined by a cross section representing an isoceles triangle having an apex angle of approximately 30.degree. wherein the surface of the brush is contourable and the bristles are splayed by the tiny vibratory action into the furca, junctions, and pockets.
Abstract: A combination protective head gear and cephalic tool for construction workers is made of a thick cylindrical member having therein a soft cushioning material attached to a thin, relatively hard disk, the cylindrical member being enclosed in a fabric and adapted with straps to fit snugly on top of a wearer's head to provide the construction worker with a tool for carrying large sheets of building material and which tool allows manipulating and orienting the building material sheet while on top of the head into place for construction of a ceiling.

Abstract: An on-board oil spill prevention and recovery system for an oil transporting vessel. The system includes a pillow storage container which releasably houses a plurality of sorbent pillows. The container is fixedly attached to said vessel above a hole cut in the deck of the vessel above an oil holding tank thereby permitting the pillows to be selectively released to the interior of the holding tank. The system further includes a sorbent boom selectively deployable in the waters surrounding the vessel.
Abstract: A theft sensing system which provides an output signal and actuation of an alarm upon cut off of its electrical power source. The system includes an oscillator which provides an output signal. The amplitude of the oscillator signal is modulated responsive to disconnection of an appliance from its power source. A signal level detector provides an output signal when the modulation amplitude varies beyond a predetermined level. The output signal from the level detector indicates disconnection of the appliance from a AC power source and is used to provide an alarm and permanently disable the appliance.
Abstract: A portable basketball backboard and hoop assembly attachable to a variety of structures comprising, in combination, a backboard; a hoop fixedly attached to the background; a substantially square tubular frame member selectively attachable to the backboard at various angular dispositions, said frame member having a cross bar horizontally disposed between the respective sides of said frame member and an engagement loop fixedly attached to the top horizontal portion of said frame member; and a variety of structural attachments for attachment of the assembly to various structures including a door, a wall, a door jamb, a post or pole, a free-standing A-frame and a swimming pool diving board.
