Abstract: A tetrahedron-shaped airport wind direction and velocity indicator being triangular in cross-section with first and second sides sloping downward from a top edge, such sides coming to a point at the front of the device with the device adapted to point into the wind. The device has illuminable numerical indicia for displaying wind speed on its first and second sides and illuminable side edges for night time viewing of the device from above with the direction of the device indicating wind direction.
Abstract: A method of creating large hollow spheres and other shapes and structures produced according to such method, such method including suspending in a zero gravity environment a molten material mixed with a blowing agent which is caused to foam, expanding into a mass wherein the exterior sphere wall is solidified and the interior is hollowed out.
Abstract: A manhole frame having a top with an opening therein defining a cover seat area, a side wall extending downward from the top to an inwardly extending lower flange, the exterior of the side wall being outwardly extending at its top and inwardly extending at its lower portion down to an inwardly extending lower flange. Also disclosed is a method of installing and raising the manhole frame to a new level.
Abstract: A child window guard for installation in an open window, such window guard having a base member positioned on the window sill, a lower window sash receipt member and a plurality of vertical members, such vertical members attached at their bottoms at an outward angle to the base member and attached at their tops to the base of the lower window sash receipt member in which lower window sash receipt member the bottom rail of the lower window sash in received.
Abstract: An improved alignment guide for use in the MK-19 grenade launcher of the type having a body member with a centrally located slot defined therein extending to a bowl formed in the body member, the guide being characterized by a lack of upper and lower edge rails and having a single body aperture formed therein between its central screw aperture and the bowl, the body member around the bowl being approximately 0.25 inch thick with a thickened arm provided at the end of the body member beyond the bowl, such thickened arm being approximately 0.5 inch thick, such alignment guide having the same interface dimensions as that of the prior art alignment guide to allow the alignment guide of this invention to be engaged into the receiver of an MK-19 grenade launcher.
Abstract: A picture frame having a substantially stiff, rectangular, planar transparent sheet with lip members disposed on two rear opposing sides to slideably receive therein the object to be displayed directly behind the transparent sheet and a sheet of magnetic material to be received within said lips directly behind the object to be displayed. The magnetic sheet, when placed against a metallic surface, holds the frame in place by its attraction to such metallic surface.
Abstract: A mill roll for pelletizing material having first and second counter-rotating, cylindrical rollers, the second roller having a solid exterior at its central portion, a hollow core and a series of perforations at each end. The first roller has a solid exterior. The rollers can be heated. Material to be pelletized is placed in the central portion of the nip formed between the rollers and as the rollers rotate, the material is spread outward toward the perforations where the material passes through such perforations to be cut off by a knife disposed within the second roller's hollow core. Also disclosed is a method of pelletizing material utilizing such mill roll.
Abstract: A sheet or page of a book being self-illuminating, each such sheet utilizing electroluminescent polymer film to be illuminated as indicia or, in an alternate embodiment, as background for indicia.
Abstract: A face-protective safety shield supported on arms held to a base including an angularly positionable transparent panel to be disposed in a parallel plane to a worker for use at multiple work stations including work stations that are not disposed directly in front of the base of the safetly shield.
Abstract: A pneumatic system for automatically extending or retracting a semi-trailer's landing gear to support, raise or lower the trailer, such system utilizing a pneumatic gear motor attached to the gear reduction box assembly's inboard shaft through a coupling, allowing axial movement of the inboard shaft, such pneumatic gear motor interconnected to dual air lines selectively activated by a landing gear control valve receiving air from a valve disposed on the semi-trailer's air brake line.

Abstract: A mill roll having a pair of thick-walled refractory rollers, some having chambers therein the rollers to be heated to incandescent temperatures is disclosed.
Abstract: A safety lever pin for insertion into a safety lever pin receipt aperture of the sear assembly of an MK-19 grenade launcher such pin having a machined cylindrical body with an arm extending from the top thereof and structure to retain the safety lever pin within the safety lever pin receipt aperture to prevent its inadvertent falling out therefrom when the sear assembly is removed from the weapon and inverted.
Abstract: Methods to create hollow spheres and spheres produced according to such methods, such methods including suspending in a chamber at zero gravity a gas-generating pellet in a resin material which gas-generating pellet is caused to produce gas expanding the resin into a spherical mass; methods of coating sphere-forming material on a spherical liquid mass, hardening the coating and removing the liquid mass leaving the thus formed hollow sphere and methods of blowing bubbles of resin to form spheres.
Abstract: A lightweight grenade launcher utilizing a rotary feed mechanism in conjunction with a toggle link bolt movement mechanism to incorporate the barrel, flash suppressor, bolt and toggle link mechanism as part of the gun's recoiling mass with the barrel moving during recoil and counter recoil through a center aperture in the rotary sprocket of the feed mechanism.

Abstract: A convertible sofa/end table/bed structure having a sofa frame having a first and second pair of sofa legs, the sofa frame being adjacent to one side of an end table having a top member and an upright bed having an upper portion and a lower portion, the lower portion of which is attached to the opposite side of the end table from the sofa. The end table is pivotally attached to pivot support members which are, in turn, attached to the first pair of sofa frame legs adjacent to the end table. The structure is convertible into its bed mode by the top member of the end table being lifted upwards and attached to the rear side of the bed and the bed being rotated downward to a horizontal position above the sofa and end table with the top end of the upper portion of the bed resting on the top of the second pair of sofa legs.
