Abstract: Intentionally dropping packets to prevent unauthorized transfer of data through multimedia tunnels is disclosed. A stream of media transport protocol packets is received. One or more packets are dropped intentionally from the stream to render unusable at the destination a file or other data transported through the multimedia tunnel without authorization.

Abstract: A switching DC-DC converter includes: an output voltage detecting unit configured to detect a DC output voltage; an error amplifying unit configured to compare the detected output voltage and a reference voltage and configured to supply an amplified error signal between the detected output voltage and the reference voltage to the pulse width modulating unit; and a single oscillating unit connected to an output of the output voltage detecting unit and an output of the error amplifying unit and operable on a first oscillating mode and a second oscillation mode. The oscillating unit on the first oscillating mode controls a switching frequency of the power switch based on the detected output voltage. The oscillating unit on the second oscillating mode controls the switching frequency of the power switch based on the amplified error signal.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel RNA picornavirus that is called Seneca Valley virus (“SVV”). The invention provides isolated SVV nucleic acids and proteins encoded by these nucleic acids. Further, the invention provides antibodies that are raised against the SVV proteins. Because SVV has the ability to selectively kill some types of tumors, the invention provides methods of using SVV and SVV polypeptides to treat cancer. Because SVV specifically targets certain tumors, the invention provides methods of using SVV nucleic acids and proteins to detect cancer. Additionally, due to the information provided by the tumor-specific mechanisms of SVV, the invention provides methods of making new oncolytic virus derivatives and of altering viruses to have tumor-specific tropisms.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing an interface to communicate policy information from a policy server to a policy enforcement point are presented. An external policy server is used to implement and provide various policies to a policy enforcement point for enforcement on subscriber sessions and traffic flows of a mobile subscriber. A policy enforcement point can request instructions from the policy server using an access-request message and receive from the policy server unsolicited instructions with a change-of-authorization message. Policies for application to a subscriber session or traffic flow are included in the message from a policy server to the policy enforcement point. Other messages such as a disconnect message are used to terminate a subscriber session.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to systems and methods for irradiating regions of a thin film sample(s) with laser beam pulses having different energy beam characteristics that are generated and delivered via different optical paths. Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for using a PDSN in a wireless communication network that includes multiple IP addresses and multiple corresponding physical interfaces. Through the use of multiple IP addresses and interfaces, the throughput of the PDSN may be substantially increased. Additionally, the multiple IP addresses and interfaces may be used to provide redundancy in order to protect against software or hardware failures. According to the methods and systems of the invention, moreover, the risk of internal hard handoffs resulting from the use of a PDSN having multiple IP addresses and interfaces is eliminated or at least substantially reduced.

Abstract: A system and method for storing identifying information and telephone numbers associated with individuals, and cross-referencing said information so as to link a first individual to other referee individuals capable of identifying the first individual as a result of a telephone conversation. When a relying party wishes to confirm the identity of a contracting party, the system is contacted and, using identifying information pertaining to said contracting party, identifies the set of referee individuals capable of identifying said contracting party, contacts a referee selected at random from the set, and places the contracting party in telephonic communication with the referee. At the conclusion of said telephonic communication, said system invites the referee to state the name of the first individual; by comparing the voice sample with a stored voice sample, the apparatus then provides identity confirmation to said relying party.

Abstract: Described are methods, systems, and apparatuses, including computer program products, for selectively displaying song lyrics in a rhythm-action game. In one aspect this is accomplished by determining a number of vocal cues to be displayed on a display in communication with a game platform, where the vocal cues are each associated with a lyric. Abstract: A multi-chambered deposition pin wash station is provided. The wash station includes a lower chamber and an upper drain basin connected by a plurality of wash tubes. Cleaning fluid is provided to the lower chamber and passes through the cleaning tubes into the upper drain basin. The cleaning tubes are adapted to clean a single deposition pin with a single tube per wash cycle.
