  • Patent number: 7134726
Abstract: The armchair comprises a seat where an armchair user is seated and at least one armrest that can be folded between a substantially horizontal position and a substantially vertical position, that is characterized in that the at least one armrest describes a downward trajectory when moved from the substantially horizontal position to the substantially vertical position. The armrest does not bother the armchair user when it is in its substantially vertical position, thus enabling manufacturers to exploit the maximum width allowed for this type of armchairs.

  • Patent number: 7111712
Abstract: An adequate rotation angle is ensured and any member is not damaged due to fluid resistance even with use of highly viscous fluid. A rotating shaft (2) is provided inside a casing (1) having first divider walls (5) provided on its inner periphery and in direct or indirect contact with the rotating shaft. Second divider walls (4) are provided on an outer periphery of the rotating shaft and in either direct or indirect contact with the casing. A flow passage (4a) is provided in the second divider wall for fluid communication between the pressure chambers. A check valve mechanism has curving portions (6a) moving on and along the periphery of the rotating shaft and valving portions (6b) each joining to the curving portion. The curving portion is supported between the rotating shaft and the first divider wall. The flow passage is opened/closed depending upon a direction of fluid flow.

  • Patent number: 7108426
Abstract: The invention provides a guide unit in which a slider is provided on a rail. The slider comprises a casing and an end cap provided on one end of the casing. The end cap comprises a raceway path which is constituted jointly by the casing and the rail. A direction changing path is provided in the end cap and a return path is provided in the casing. An oil retaining sleeve of porous structure is inserted into the return path. The slider circulates rolling elements in the raceway path, direction changing path and oil retaining sleeve. In the guide unit, a cylindrical guide member is interposed between the direction changing path of the end cap and the oil retaining sleeve. The ratio of a length in the axis line direction of the guide member to the diameter of the rolling element may be between 0.3 to 3.0.

  • Patent number: 7103930
Abstract: The present invention concerns a device for the calibration and standardization of the rotation and movement of a patient's hip. More particularly the present invention relates to a device for the calibration and standardization of the rotation and movement of the hip for use in connection with improving the reproducibility and accuracy of a diagnostic procedure such as, for example, bone density measurement using dual x-ray absorptiometry (DXA).

  • Patent number: 7104268
Abstract: A wafer cleaning method and system including a combined high frequency signal, a low frequency signal, and in one embodiment a biased voltage signal, allows cleaning particles and impurities off of fine-structured wafers, through application of an acoustic field to the wafer through a cleaning liquid which fosters micro-bubble formation for effective cleaning while buffering micro-bubble growth which would otherwise damage the wafer.

  • Patent number: 7092483
Abstract: The invention relates to a digital camera, an imaging device and a method for dental digital imaging. One sensor is used for tomographic imaging and at least one sensor is used for transillumination imaging. The sensors are arranged to overlap each other. This arrangement provides a multiple use and a relative inexpensive camera compared with the ones using one sensor with a large area. Additionally, it is possible to arrange at least two separate electric connection structures for the different imaging modes. Further, its connection arrangements can be arranged in such a way that the mechanical connection structures of the camera are separated from the electrical connection structures.

  • Patent number: 7090300
Abstract: The structure is formed by serially connecting a torsion bar and a coil spring via a arm and a supporting frame to thereby elastically support a flat-type supporting member, and by disposing a cushioning member for seat cushion provided with a spring characteristic closely analogous to a load-to-deflection characteristic (spring characteristic) of the muscle of a human body above the flat-type supporting member. Accordingly, it is possible to make a spring characteristic for working when supporting a load of a human different from a spring characteristic for working when removing vibration even with an extremely simple structure. In other words, the structure has an excellent function to make the spring constant at work when removing vibration, especially when removing a high frequency component.

  • Patent number: 7086909
Abstract: A high performance, high capacitance gain, electric connector for data transfer applications. At least eight sequentially positioned elongate contact members are connected in a series of signal pairs. A first signal pair includes a fourth contact member and a fifth contact member. A second signal pair includes a third contact member and a sixth contact member. In addition, a third signal pair comprises a first contact member and a second contact member. Finally, a seventh and an eighth contact member are in a fourth signal pair. One member of each contact member pair is configured differently from the other member of the pair, the respective contact members being oriented relative to one another such that they substantially remain in generally parallel planes, but define non-parallel paths. Each of the third and fifth contact members mounts a plate-like extension oriented in a first direction and in respective planes generally parallel to one another.

  • Patent number: 7082846
Abstract: The seat structure includes a torsion bar as an elastic supporting-mechanism for elastically supporting a cushioning member, and is provided with arms and a supporting frame pivoted by the torsion bar. Accordingly, a device for determining a load on the seat can be structured with an extremely simple structure by providing a displacement detecting mechanism to detect the amount of twist or the twist angle of the torsion bar, or a pivot angle of the arm, displaced by being seated.
