Abstract: A sexual aid device comprising a curved portion having a proximal and a distal end, a substantially straight portion, the straight portion extending from the proximal end of the curved portion thereby forming an approximate J shape, and a rod and an electric motor for causing movement of the curved portion is provided. The movement can be arcuate, circular, vibratory, an extending movement or a “come hither” back-and-forth movement. The distal end of the curved portion stimulates a female's Grafenberg spot or G spot when the device is inserted into the vagina with the straight portion pointing away from the curved portion towards the female's torso. The straight portion extends coextensively from the curved portion. The device also includes a clitoral stimulation portion which is textured and vibrates.
Abstract: The invention relates to a swimming pool filter that includes a filter body (1) being formed by a casing (2) with a top cover (3), and the cover (3) forms a water distributor (4), this latter being compartmented (6, 7, 8, 9 and 10), upperly open (11) and provided with lateral openings (12, 13, 14 and 15) for a selected water inflow and outflow, the distributor (4) being closed by a rotatable (24), compartmented (20, 21, 22 and 32) sealing subcover (19). The subcover (19) is apt to be stabilized in its different positions by means of peripheral projections (27) being apt to selectively fit into a socket (28) being integral with the cover (3) in the vicinity of its open top (11). A receiver (32) is inferiorly fitted to the casing (2) and is made up of a grid-like plate conforming to the periphery of the casing (2).
Abstract: The invention concerns an automated method to generate the Cyclic Redundancy Check, or CRC, of data packets, minimizing computing time, particularly for the transmission of recursively embedded packets in packet-switching networks, particularly able to carry out the calculation even in case the packet length (as number of bits) is not a multiple integer of processed word width. The invention also concerns the CRC and checksum checking and computing machines carrying out the described calculation.
Abstract: System for multiple harnessing and complemented conversion of energy from sea waves. The system includes a structure of vertical guides along which the central floating body moves, a submerged captive-air tank, held up by the floating body, with the body and the tank so arranged that the movement of the submerged tank is contrary to that of the central floating body. The movement of the central floating body and of the submerged tank is transmitted to the means of conversion of the movement into pneumatic, electrical or hydraulic energy. The system shows high energy harnessing efficiency.

Abstract: A first stent delivery system provided with a sheath for covering the stent, the sheath including proximal sheath portion adapted to be movable in a proximal direction and a distal sheath portion adapted to be moveable in a distal direction. A second stent delivery system including an outer and intermediate tubular members covering a chamber with a preloaded stent, the outer tubular member being retractable prior to the retraction of the intermediate sheath and release of the stent. A third stent delivery system including with an inflatable balloon at a distal end of the system for fixing the system in place within the vessel prior to the release of the stent thereby insure accurate stent deployment.
Abstract: The invention relates to a process for preparing granisetron, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which comprises: a) cyclisation of a compound of formula (I) in an inert solvent and at a temperature between 0–100° C., in the presence of a strong acid, in order to yield the compound of formula (II); b) methylation of the compound of formula (II), with an alkylating agent, in the presence of a base, in an inert solvent and at a temperature between 0° C.–160° C., and with optional formation of a pharmaceutically acceptable salt. The process of the invention yields a granisetron of high purity, preventing impurities due to demethylation, by carrying out the methylation after rather than before cyclisation and with a higher yield.

Abstract: The invention relates to an extra-roll slide bearing system (20) for a paper/board machine or a finishing machine, surrounding a shaft (2) in a roll (1). The bearing system comprises a body section (5), which is formed with a bearing housing (7) provided with hydrostatic bearing elements (3, 3A) disposed around the shaft (2). The bearing elements are fitted with slide elements (4, 4A), having a sliding surface (16) directed towards the shaft (2). Between the slide elements (4) and the shaft (2) is a bushing (6), which is mounted on the shaft (2) for rotation therewith, said slide elements (4, 4A) being adapted to position themselves around the bushing (6) with the sliding surfaces (16) against the external surface of the bushing directed away from the shaft for supporting said shaft (2), and hence the roll (1), rotatably relative to the body section (5). The bearing housing (7) has its axial ends provided with end caps (8, 9), along with packing elements (12, 14) therefor, for sealing the bearing housing.
Abstract: A method of modifying the force of contraction of at least a portion of a heart chamber, including providing a subject having a heart, comprising at least a portion having an activation, and applying a non-excitatory electric field having a given duration, at a delay after the activation, to the portion, which causes the force of contraction to be increased by at least 5%.

Abstract: The present invention is a sub-cabinet readily insertable and removable from a larger decorative cabinet. The invention is comprised of a box-like structure having at least three panels perpendicularly disposed with respect to a floor panel and attached thereto, a lift vertically disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto, and a control module disposed within the box-like structure and fastened thereto. The control module receives commands from a limit switch so as to stop the lift motion when fully retracted or extended. Furthermore, the control module regulates electrical power to a display device fastened to the lift based upon the direction of travel of the support unit. The control module receives function commands from either a wireless remote or a switch. An alternate embodiment of the present invention further comprises a safety strip attached about an edge along one or more panels adjacent to a movable lid hinged to a decorative cabinet.
Abstract: The present invention is a compound motorized lift device facilitating the uninterrupted and nearly noiseless movement of a low-profile television. The invention is comprised of a base unit, an intermediate unit, and a support unit slidably disposed in a telescoping fashion in the described order. A pair of linearly extensible slides are fastened between base and intermediate units and between intermediate and support units. The intermediate unit is extended and retracted with respect to the base unit in a linear fashion via a motor driven screw. The support unit is extended and retracted in a linear fashion via a cable-pulley arrangement that couples motion by the intermediate unit in a likewise direction to the support unit.
