Abstract: An electrically conductive titanium dioxide sputter target with an electrical resistivity of less than 5 ?-cm, which contains as an additive at least one doping agent or a mixture of doping agents in an amount of less than 5 mole %. The doping agent or agents are selected from the group including indium oxide, zinc oxide, bismuth oxide, aluminum oxide, gallium oxide, antimony oxide, and zirconium oxide. This treatment renders the titanium dioxide sputter target suitable for use in a direct-current sputtering process without any negative effects on the properties of the coating.

Abstract: A bumper with an attachment member to be made thereon for the purpose of mounting the bumper onto longitudinal beams of a vehicle, is such that section walls acting as compressive and tensile struts and a pair of flanking walls joining them form a hollow section. The attachment member is in the form of a hollow section exhibiting at least one side wall and two transverse walls following on therefrom with a length of hollow section with the longitudinal beam. The hollow section is in the form of a push-fit length matching the inner cross-section of the longitudinal beam. The other end region of the attachment member is provided with collar-type parts projecting from their end edges and aligned approximately parallel to the transverse walls. In a use position, the collar-type parts of the attachment member are aligned with the flanking walls of the bumper and are releasably attached to it. The bumper is bolted to the collar-type parts of the attachment member.
Abstract: A board mounting device (20) which includes a base carrier (10) that can be snapped down on a board (14). The base carrier (10) includes at least one locking hook (22) which engages behind the board (14) in the mounted condition of the device (20). The device (20) further includes a device carrier (11), connected with the base carrier (10), which is adapted to be moved relative to the base carrier (10). The locking hook (22) is provided with at least one shoulder (43) on which the device carrier (11) is supported by at least one guide pin (31, 40, 50, 60) before the device (20) is in its mounted condition.
Abstract: An elevator with an all optical control apparatus having a control unit with a light source, a photodetector, an optical feeding fiber, and an optical feedback fiber. The light source is coupled to the optical feeding fiber and the optical feedback fiber is coupled to the photodetector. The all optical control apparatus further includes a member that can be manually actuated. The member has a fiber input and a fiber output. The fiber input is optically coupled to the optical feeding fiber and the fiber output is optically coupled to the optical feedback fiber. The member, when actuated, influences a light path between the fiber input and the fiber output in a manner that is detectable at the photodetector.
Abstract: An elevator installation for zonal operation in a building, a method for zonal operation of such an elevator installation and method for modernization of an existing elevator installation, in which the building is divided into several zones. The elevator installation includes several elevators for the transport of persons/goods in cages. A zone is associated each elevator. At least one changeover storey for the changing over of persons/goods between cages of different zones is arranged between the zones. At least one elevator has at least two cages which are arranged one above the other and which are movable independently of one another at a pair of guide rails.
Abstract: A safety system for an elevator installation for the transport of persons/goods in a building and a method for operating an elevator installation with a safety system. Several cages are moved one above the other in a shaft. Each cage is moved by a drive. At least one drive control controls the drives by way of drive control signals. Cage position detecting sensors detect positions of each cage and transmit cage position data to at least one safety control. Access to the shaft takes place by way of opened shaft doors. A lock locks the shaft doors. Lock setting detecting sensors detect settings of the locks of the shaft doors and transmit lock setting data by way of the data bus to the safety control. The safety control ascertains, from the cage position data and the lock setting data, shaft region data with details with respect to shaft regions in which each cage is safely movable.
Abstract: A method and system for supervising the safety of an elevator having a car driven by a drive within a hoistway wherein a travel parameter (XABS,X?Acc,X?IGB) of the car is sensed and continually compared with a similarly sensed travel parameter (X?IG) of the drive. If the comparison shows a large deviation between the two parameters, an emergency stop is initiated. Otherwise one of the travel parameters (XABS,X?Acc X?IGB; X?IG) is output as a verified signal (X;X?). The verified signal is then compared with predetermined permitted values. If it lies outside the permitted range then an emergency stop is initiated.
Abstract: A method for the closed-loop speed control of an internal combustion engine-generator unit with a coupling, in which method, when the engagement of the coupling is detected, a change is made from a first set of parameters to a second set of parameters. In the second set of parameters, a second run-up ramp is set, which determines the presetting of the set speed, and second controller parameters are set as the determining factors for computing controller components of a speed controller.
Abstract: Safety system of an elevator installation, with a control unit, a bus node, a safety element and a bus, which enables a communication between the control unit and the bus node. The bus node includes a first switching arrangement, which on digital presetting by the control unit acts on the safety element by a first analog signal. The bus node additionally includes a second switching arrangement which derives an analog signal from the safety element and makes digital feedback information available to the control unit by way of the bus.
Abstract: A combustible propellant charge casing for ammunition which can be shot from the barrel of a weapon. So that the erosion-reducing additive will lead to a decrease in the erosive action of the propellant powder present in the molded part of the ammunition better than that of known additives, either polyacetylene or a mixture of WO3 and MoO3 and CeO2 or La2O3 or Y2O3 is used as the erosion-reducing additive. The particle size of the erosion-reducing additive does not exceed 30 ?m, and the specific surface area of the erosion-reducing additive is at least 2 m2/g. The mixture can also contain polyoxymethylene (POM).
Abstract: The invention relates to a card having a card base body (20) and a plastic layer (30) joined thereto. According to the invention, the delimiting edge(s) of the plastic layer (30) is/are set back from the card edge(s) and comprise(s) projections that terminate with the edge(s) of the card base body (20) in a flush manner.
Abstract: A method for the torque-oriented control of an internal combustion engine, in which a sum torque (MSUM) is calculated from a set torque value (MSW) and a friction torque (MF). A set injection quantity (mSL) for driving the internal combustion engine is calculated from the sum torque (MSUM) and an actual rpm value (nIST) by the use of an efficiency map (WKF). The set torque value (MSW) is calculated by way of an rpm controller with at least PI behavior from an rpm control deviation (e) between the set rpm value (nSL) and the actual rpm value (nIST), and the I component of the rpm controller is limited to a lower limit value (uGW), which is determined as a function of the friction torque (MF) (uGW=f(MF)).
Abstract: A device and procedure for creating and securing a temporary safety space within an elevator hoistway such that a service or maintenance technician can work with impunity from a car entering the safety space. In particular, the device includes a stop bar for installation between and in engagement with opposing guide rails of the hoistway to prevent upward or downward movement of the car or a counterweight.
