Abstract: A matrix data processor is implemented wherein data elements are stored in physical registers and mapped to logical registers. After being stored in the logical registers, the data elements are then treated as matrix elements. By using a series of variable matrix parameters to define the size and location of the various matrix source and destination elements, as well as the operation(s) to be performed on the matrices, the performance of digital signal processing operations can be significantly enhanced.

Abstract: An operability testing apparatus used in conjunction with an electrical testing apparatus to perform live-dead-live tests consists of: a power source; a voltage source coupled to the power source with the voltage source being configured to provide an AC voltage output and/or a DC voltage output; and one or more visual indicators. The visual indicator(s) are configured to indicate operability for electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and the like. The probes or leads of electrical testing equipment are inserted into apertures in the apparatus. The apparatus provides an output, allowing a determination to be made as to the operability of the electrical testing equipment. Then, the test leads or probes are applied to the subject electrical circuit or equipment to ensure that the subject electrical circuit or equipment is de-energized.
Abstract: The present invention is a combination of three interconnected gyroscopic ring-like rotating masses, with each of the three ring-like masses being configured to rotate in various planes, depending on the desired orientation. Regardless of the orientation of the three rings, each of the three interconnected rotating masses will share substantially the same center of gravity and generate a separate yet interactive kinetic energy and angular momentum in each of the three planes, thereby providing resistance to rotational forces from external sources. This is known as “equal force presence.” Additionally, a series of pedestal supports for supporting the three ring-like masses is disclosed.
Abstract: A mobile articulated robot platform is provided where the platform comprises a payload base hip section for attaching a torso, the platform having two opposing sides, where the platform includes a right leg assembly and a left leg assembly, with each leg assembly having an upper leg and a lower leg section, where the right and left leg assemblies each comprise a right upper leg being pivotally coupled on one side of said payload base hip section and a left upper leg being pivotally coupled to the other side of the payload base hip section, and a right lower leg being independently and pivotally connected to the right upper leg, and a left lower leg being independently and pivotally connected to the left upper leg, allowing rotation of each of the lower legs about each of the upper legs.

The document-specific information and the user-specific information is contained in dynamic content zones on the fax cover sheet. Each dynamically-generated fax cover sheet generated by the digital filing system will be globally unique, with respect to at least one of the dynamic content zones and no two dynamically-generated fax cover sheets will ever be identical. In addition, each dynamically-generated fax cover sheet may also contain static content zones which contain information that will be duplicated over a certain range of dynamically-generated fax cover sheets.

Abstract: The tire carrier assembly of the present invention is mounted to the frame of a vehicle by removing the existing D-rings and placing the mounting brackets for the tire carrier over the apertures where the existing D-rings were mounted. The existing D-rings are then placed over the tire carrier mounting brackets and the entire assembly is mounted or coupled to the vehicle, using the original mounting apertures for the D-rings.
Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus and method for suspending and positioning structural reinforcement elements such as rebar within a framework for a slab-on-grade foundation or other type of concrete structure. Each rebar support of the present invention comprises a plurality of rebar support arms that, in concert with the other components of the foundation or concrete structure, supports one or more pieces of rebar in a desired orientation.

Abstract: According to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, an apparatus and method for simultaneously managing paper-based documents and digital images of the same are disclosed. When used in conjunction with a digital filing apparatus, such as that disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 6,192,165, users of the present invention will be able to deploy a comprehensive system to manage both paper-based documents and the corresponding digital images of the paper-based documents in a digital filing operation. In this context, digital filing refers to the efficient management of paper-based information from its receipt at the desktop through an indexing, scanning, image storage and retrieval process, for both the paper-based document and the digital image of the paper-based document.

The present invention provides a tensioning mechanism within the body of the key-retaining apparatus for “pinching” the shaft of a key when the shaft is inserted into the body of the key-retaining apparatus. The tensioning mechanism may take the form of a spring-loaded mechanism or a tensioned piece of metal that is selectively pressured against the shaft of the key when the key is inserted into the body of the key-retaining apparatus. Additionally, a thong or strap may be provided for securing the key-retaining apparatus to a purse, backpack, etc.
Abstract: According to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, an apparatus and method for suspending rebar is disclosed. The rebar isolator of the present invention comprises a pointed metal spike or stake with one or more hollow-bodied rebar supports. Each of the hollow-bodied rebar supports has a support arm which supports the horizontally-positioned rebar. In addition, the spike or stake portion of the rebar isolator has a number of crimped zones which prevent the support arms from shifting downward or rotating in place when the concrete is poured over the horizontally-positioned rebar. The number of crimped zones corresponds to the number of hollow-bodied cylindrical rebar isolator supports and one crimped zone is located immediately below each of the support arms.
