Abstract: An electrostatic discharge protection circuit for an electronic device includes an output buffer including a transistor having a gate configured to receive a control signal, a source connected to a voltage supply terminal, and a drain connected to a pad; and an ESD trigger circuit configured to produce a first electronic signal in response to an electrostatic voltage between the pad or the voltage supply terminal. The first electronic signal can isolate the control signal from the gate of the transistor and to turn on the transistor to discharge the electrostatic voltage between the pad and the voltage supply terminal.
Abstract: A water treatment apparatus includes a float configured to float on the surface of a water body, a first fluid channel coupled to the float and configured to circulate contaminated water in the water body, and a second fluid channel coupled to the float and configured to filter contaminated water in the water body. A fluid transport apparatus can draw the contaminated water through the first fluid channel at a first flow rate and through the second fluid channel at a second flow rate.

Abstract: A bandgap voltage reference circuit includes a bandgap voltage generation circuit that can produce a bandgap reference voltage in response to an activation voltage signal, a start-up circuit that can produce the activation voltage signal in response to one-shot voltage pulse and an one-shot pulse generator circuit configured to produce the one-shot voltage pulse. Abstract: A pluggable optical transceiver includes a housing member comprising an extended portion to be plugged into a host device and an outer housing member to protrude out of the host device. An optical module mounted to the housing member can be coupled to an optical fiber. A circuit board is mounted to the housing member and electrically coupled to the optical module. The circuit board includes an electronic circuit and an electric interface configured to be electrically connected to the host device. The electric circuit is in thermal conductive communication with the extended portion to conduct heat from the electric circuit.
Abstract: A magnetron source for producing a magnetic field near a surface of a target in a deposition system include a first magnet, a second magnet separated by a gap from the first magnet along a first direction, and a target holder configured to hold the target in the gap between the first magnet and the second magnet. The target includes a sputtering surface from which target material can be sputtered and deposited on a substrate. The target holder is so configured that the sputtering surface is substantially parallel to the first direction and the first magnet and the second magnet can produce a magnetic field near a surface of the target.

Abstract: System and method for collecting customers' images into a kiosk, and transferring images to an image-processing provider for processing. The kiosk includes a computer, a data storage device, an upload port, and an interface for capturing digital images. One method includes accepting image information from a customer into the interface of the kiosk, accepting user-identifier and order information into the kiosk computer, storing a digital representation of the image and associated user-identifier and order information for each customer into a data structure, and sending the data structure to the image-processing provider via the upload port connected to a communication medium such as the internet. Some embodiments also include accepting credit-card payment information, displaying to the customer at least one image from the image information and/or a plurality of thumbnail images from the image information, and/or printing a receipt and/or a printout of thumbnail images from the image information.

Abstract: An encapsulated micro device includes a micro device on a substrate within a chamber, a transparent encapsulation cover in part defining the chamber, an opaque layered structure on the encapsulation cover and inside the chamber. The layered structure includes an opening over the micro device and is configured to absorb light and moisture in the chamber. A spacer wall between the substrate and the encapsulation cover in part defines the chamber.
Abstract: This invention discloses a fiber Chirped Pulse Amplification (CPA) laser system. The system includes a fiber mode-locking oscillator for generating a seed laser. The laser system further includes a stretching stage for stretching the seed laser for projecting to an Yb doped amplifier. The Yb doped amplifier is implemented for taking advantage of a self phase modulation (SPM) to broaden a spectrum whereby an amplification of the laser pulse is without narrowing down the spectrum. The amplifier has a gain spectrum corresponding to a broaden spectrum by taking advantage of the SPM in the amplifier. The amplifier is further connected to an output fiber having a predefined length with a predefined level of SPM for broadening a spectrum.
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) module provides first and second power amplifiers configured to produce first and second amplified RF signals at first and second output RF terminals, respectively; and first and second arrays of pads positioned opposite each other, the first array including the first output RF terminal and the second array including the second output RF terminal. The module also provides two reserve terminals that can be connected to capacitors, inductors, sensors for RF linearity, or can be left unconnected.
Abstract: An apparatus for processing a work piece in a vacuum environment includes a master process chamber configured to be exhausted to a sub-atmospheric air pressure or to be filled with a desirable gas, a transfer chamber configured to receive the work piece from outside of the master process chamber, one or more processing stations inside the master process chamber, a rotation plate configured to receive the work piece and to move the work piece to receive one or more processing operations, and a first transport mechanism configured to transfer the work piece from the transfer chamber on to the rotation plate. The transfer chamber is at least partially enclosed in the master process chamber and can be vacuum sealed off from the master process chamber.
