The cable 60c is covered with UL tube in advance, and connected by being passed through the inside of a horseshoe shape of a lower bridge pier portion 52b3 of the right bridge frame 52b. The audio signal is transmitted to the speakers 53a, 53b connected to the connectors 61a, 61b with lead wires by the pattern on the sensor substrate D.
Abstract: The present invention is intended to enable a body of an LCD television to stand upright even when a rear cabinet is removed, to enable the body alone to be used as a wall -hanging television without removing the rear cabinet, and to eliminate or reduce the screws for fixing a support bracket to a body-side bracket. The body-side bracket comprises a lower holding portion that causes both horizontal edges of the support bracket to be inserted upward and retains the support bracket slidably, an upper holding portion that causes an upper edge of the support bracket to be inserted upward and retains the support bracket slidably, and a stopper portion to constrain upward movements of the support bracket inserted in a bracket insertion slot from underneath and slides the support bracket upward to insert in the upper holding portion for fixing.
Abstract: There is provided an image display device in which a display panel is driven based a plurality of sub-frame image data produced from a frame image data representing an image of one screen to display the image, the image display device includes: a dividing unit to divide the frame image data into a plurality of sub-frame image data; and a panel drive controlling unit to make each pixel data of one sub-frame image data correspond to each pixel of the display panel by one-to-one and to drive each pixel of the display panel, and to distribute each pixel data of other sub-frame image data to a plurality of pixels of the display panel that are adjacent in the display panel in a predetermined ratio and to drive each pixel of the display panel.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a smart antenna system including an antenna body with changeable directivity, and a control device that optimizes receiving conditions of the antenna body by changing the directivity of the antenna body with a control signal based on a selected channel. The antenna body has a reception confirming section that, when a control signal is output from the control device, outputs to the control device a cognitive signal indicating the receipt of the control signal; and the control device has a failure determination section to determine that the antenna body fails when a cognitive signal is not received, and a failure reporting section to notify that the antenna body fails based on a result from the failure determination section.
Abstract: When an abnormality occurs in a supply circuit and its output is decreased, a protect circuit detects the abnormality and outputs a protect signal to an audio circuit. The audio circuit upon detection of the protect signal stops outputting audio so that outputting of an audio noise due to a deficiency in the supplied voltage is prevented. Meanwhile, when no abnormality occurs in the supply circuit, a microcomputer controls the audio circuit by supplying it with such a signal as to allow it to output an audio, or to increase the audio volume, or with a mute signal.
Abstract: The present invention discloses an image display device, comprising: a lookup table specifying a corresponding relationship between color saturation represented by gradation and set values associated with part including the minimum value of the color saturation; a first color saturation setting unit for setting color saturation associated with the set value greater than or equal to a predetermined value based on the lookup table; and a second color saturation setting unit for setting color saturation associated with the set value less than the predetermined value by calculating values which gradually decreased to the minimum value of the color saturation as the set value decreases.
Abstract: Fluorescent tubes are arranged such that their arrangement spaces gradually become wider in central area than in edge areas, fluorescent tubes located in the vicinity of the central area of an arrangement direction are bent into chevron-shapes such that the central parts of the longitudinal directions of the fluorescent tubes become crests which provide access to a diffusion plate, respective two adjacent fluorescent tubes which are straight tubes are connected to one another, thereby constituting pseudo U-shaped tubes, and an AC power is supplied through terminals lined up along one side of a direct-type backlight device. A reflector plate is bent so as to match with the curvature of the bent fluorescent tubes, and is formed with a protrusion which allows the fluorescent tubes located in the vicinity of the central area of the arrangement direction to be raised so as to protrude toward a diffusion plate.
Abstract: A television receiver includes at least two tuner units that respectively connect to multidirectional antennas respectively capable of electrically switching a directivity of a receiving radio wave and that select a television broadcast signal corresponding to a channel selected by a user. The television receiver further includes an optimum direction updating section (optimum direction updating process). Thereby, when a tuner unit currently being not used is present, an optimum receive direction of the multidirectional antenna on a channel other than a channel selected in a tuner unit currently being in use is serially updated by using the tuner unit currently being not in use. Consequently, it is possible to provide the television receiver that is capable of performing the channel selection always in the optimum receive direction of the multidirectional antenna and channel selection operation quickly or in a reduced period of time in the event of the channel selection.
Abstract: The present invention discloses a liquid crystal display apparatus and a liquid crystal television which are provided with a backlight to be lighted up by a separately-excited inverter circuit and realize improvement of contrast in low brightness. A microcomputer 50 obtains a brightness average value of image data from a brightness average value detecting circuit 22, directs an inverter circuit 62 to oscillate at a duty factor corresponding to the obtained brightness average value, and directs an output processing circuit 33 to perform gamma correction processing with gamma correction data corresponding to the obtained brightness average value. When the brightness average value is lowered, the microcomputer 50 lowers the duty factor to be outputted therefrom and lowers the brightness of the backlight 61.
Abstract: In the course of the channel presetting process, the central frequency is set by a step of 1 MHz within the range from the minimum frequency in the VHF band channel plan to the maximum frequency of the VHF band adopted in the place of destination for the scheduled shipment of the TV broadcast receivers, attempts are made to detect broadcast signals by changing frequency within a range of 1.5 MHz to the high frequency side and 0.5 MHz to the low frequency side from the central frequency, and the frequencies of the detected broadcast signals are stored in the semiconductor memory.
