Abstract: A hydrostatic power transmitting device in combination with a speed reducing apparatus together disposed within a common housing having an interior space divided by partitioning device into a first region in which the hydrostatic unit is disposed and a second region in which said speed reducer is accommodated. First and second regions are segregated from each other by the partitioning device being in the form of a flexible non-porous barrier. The elastically deformable partitioning device can therefore adjust its shape to take up any change in the amount of hydrostatic transmitting fluid in the first region due to temperature changes of the fluid and facilitates the regulation in depth of lubricant held by the second region. Thereby an initially low level of lubricant in the second region lessens the adverse effect of power-retarding drag losses, especially during cold weather winter operation, and a rising level of lubricant ensures good lubrication when temperatures are elevated and viscosity is low.

The composition includes anhydrous citric acid as an ingredient together with a thickening or viscosity building agent and a wetting agent. The composition is inherently non-aggressive and environmentally friendly. Therefore, the composition is not hazardous to users and is unlikely to damage surfaces from which the cementitious substance is to be removed.

Abstract: A method of manufacture includes the steps of making perforations using a perforating tool in a flat product before it is bent; making bends using a bending tool in the perforated flat product; detecting the position of a perforation on the corrugation; and slaving the relative position of tools to the detected position.
Abstract: A process for the dynamic manufacture and packaging of gas mixtures containing a first component and a second component in predefined proportions, the first and second components being chosen from the group formed by O2, N2, He and N2O, in which predetermined proportions of the first and second components are dynamically mixed in order to obtain a gas mixture of the desired composition and the temperature of the mixture is adjusted in order to keep it above the demixing threshold temperature of the mixture. This process is particularly suitable for the production of analgesic gas mixtures that can be used in the medical field, particularly a mixture formed from 50% oxygen and 50% nitrous oxide.
Abstract: The adhesive bonding system is chosen, applied and, where appropriate, crosslinked so as to have a critical energy release rate in mode I (tension) greater than 1500 J/m2 and a critical energy release rate in mode II (shear) greater than 2000 J/m2. The composite sheet is easily drawable to form parts requiring no curing after forming.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel endoproteolytic hatching enzyme called zonase. The new enzyme is a non-selfdegrading endoprotease.
The inventors have purified the enzyme to sequence grade, this was made possible due to the described purification method, which set forth the sequence in which the purification method is to be performed. All preparations of salmon zonases exhibit valuable enzymatic properties with regard to proteolysis, both in terms of catalysis and stability.
Abstract: The present invention provides an optical information recording/reproducing device which comprises a light source for emitting a light, a light transmitting system including an objective lens for focusing the emitted light onto an optical storage medium and a photo-detector system for detecting a reflected light from the optical storage medium, wherein before the light is incident into the objective lens, the light has been divided into a main beam and at least a sub-beam which are different in intensity distribution from each other, and the photo-detector system detects first and second track error signals from the main beam and the sub-beam separately, and said photo-detector system further obtains a difference in phase between the first and second track error signals in order to detect a radial tilt of the optical storage medium on the basis of the difference in phase, and further a compensation of the radial tilt is made on the basis of the detected radial tilt.
Abstract: A method and a device involving an electric iris diaphragm/shutter are disclosed for controlling particle transfer of electrically charged medication powder particles from a source to a defined target area, of a substrate. Spatial distribution of particles onto the target area is achieved by an electro-dynamic field technique (320) applied to the distribution and deposition of particles in a dose forming process. An electric iris diaphragm/shutter (130) is located between a particle generator (110) and the substrate (140) such that all particles must pass the iris diaphragm for being transferred to the substrate. By adjusting amplitude and frequency of a superimposed AC potential (136) charged particles will oscillate in the created AC field such that only small light particles will emerge from the iris diaphragm/shutter for further transfer in the dose forming process.
Abstract: The invention relates to a ready-to-use binary gaseous mixture containing 63.1 to 69.9% by volume of helium and the remainder being oxygen, preferably a mixture of 65% of helium and of 35% of oxygen, and its use in the treatment of asthma, of obstructive bronchopneumopathies and the like. Such a gaseous mixture can be used as a vector or propellant gas for medicinal aerosols, in particular aerosols containing a therapeutically effective substance chosen from &bgr;2-mimetics, corticoids and anticholinergics.
