  • Patent number: 6601832
Abstract: The invention relates to a device for sucking air and mixing it with a liquid fuel flowing in a tubular flow duct. The device has a liquid intake duct (3) and outlet duct (4) and between them a throttle section (1), which forms a substantially reduced flow cross-sectional area for the flow. The throttle section has for the flowing liquid fuel at minimum one throttle duct (6a, 6b), which extends with substantially the same flow cross-sectional area from the point of the closest air supply orifice (21) to a distance of a downstream length (L2) which is at minimum equal to the mean diameter of the flow cross-sectional area (A2a, A2b) of the throttle ducts. The throttle section has transverse gas ducts (2), which open into the throttle ducts (6a, 6b) on the first side of a plane running through the throttle duct center line (8) and which continue as a connecting duct (7) outside the throttle ducts to the opposite side of the said plane and further to the gas/gas mixture source (20).

  • Patent number: 6601722
Abstract: A composite stopper for closing bottles, in particular wine bottles, comprising a body made of a compressible material such as cork, provided at least at its end facing the contents of the bottle to be closed with matching element forming a joint. The element (25) is made from a substantially incompressible elastomer, filling up a cavity arranged circular in shape and a concentric position in the end surface (24) of the stopper body (22) and having a volume such that the element, under the effect of compression whereto the stopper body is subjected when the bottle is closed, is elastically deformed at the front of the end surface, so as to produce after closure, at the front of the cork body end surface, a sealing joint covering the whole of the end surface and in contact the bottle neck inner surface (26). The invention is useful for closing bottles of sparking or non-sparking wine.

  • Patent number: 6602035
Abstract: A fastener for receiving a sink unit in a worktop has a plastics clip for attaching to a tab or rail and a hinged clamping member (11) which is tightened up against the underside of the worktop by a screw. The screw can be pressed through a bore in the hinge pin and self-tap into a non-threaded passage in the clip when the clamping member is hinged to engage under the worktop. The bore through the hinge pin has small flexible tags projecting into it past which the screw thread can snap, but which retain the screw when that is not engaged with the clip. The hinge pin and the clip have mutually engageable detents which locate the pin, and thus the clamping member, in either the operative position, for engaging the worktop, or the non-operative position with the clamping member swung back free of the worktop.

  • Patent number: 6602416
Abstract: A method and a device for purifying waste water is described, in particular for an anaerobic purification, in a container receiving a medium under the development of gas, wherein the gas developing is caught by a gas collector, ingredients of the medium entrained by the gas are separated and the ingredients separated are passed back into the medium below the gas collector. In order to improve the purification effect in a constructively simple manner, it is suggested to take in medium from the upper portion of the container by a gas lifting effect of the rising gas and to conduct it back into the container.
