  • Patent number: 8343582
Abstract: A method for depositing a non-oxide ceramic-type coating based on chrome carbides, nitrides or carbonitrides, by DLI-CVD at low temperature and atmospheric pressure on a metallic substrate, includes: a) a solution is prepared, containing a molecular compound which is a precursor of the metal to be deposited, belongs to the bis(arene) family, and has a decomposition temperature of 300° C.-550° C., the compound being dissolved in an oxygen atom depleted solvent; b) the solution is introduced as aerosol into a heated evaporator at a temperature between the solvent boiling temperature and the precursor decomposition temperature; and c) the precursor and the vaporized solvent are driven from the evaporator towards a CVD reactor having cold walls, with a susceptor carrying the substrate to be covered and heated to a temperature higher than the decomposition temperature of the precursor, to a maximum of 550° C., the evaporator and the CVD reactor being at atmospheric pressure.

  • Patent number: 8343240
Abstract: In a vacuum container (2), a bag-shaped laminate film (12) containing a battery element (11) and having an opening (12a) is pinched at positions corresponding to two principal surfaces (11a) of the battery element (11), the battery element (11) having a positive layer and a negative layer stacked via a separator. Pressure in the vacuum container (2) is reduced. An electrolytic solution (20) is poured from an electrolytic-solution supply line (4) into the bag-shaped laminate film (12) through the opening (12a) with pressure in the vacuum container (2) kept reduced until the entire battery element (11) is immersed in the electrolytic solution (20). The reduced pressure in the vacuum container (2) is increased to make the battery element (11) absorb the electrolytic solution (20) by the difference in pressure.

  • Patent number: 8343611
Abstract: A one-way vision film includes a white film base material; a shrinkable color tone layer on one side of the base material; and a self-adsorptive foamed layer on the base material opposite to the shrinkable color tone layer. The one-way vision film is perforated with through-holes. The self-adsorptive foamed layer has an adhesive function attachable to a surface onto which the film is attached and is printable. Since the printing ink is deposited to the bottoms of the open pores while not closing the openings of the open pores, open pores exposed to the surface of the foamed layer function like suction cups adhering onto a smooth surface. Accordingly, there is no need for forming ink-receptive and pressure-sensitive layers, unlike a conventional film, so the film can have a low cost, three-layer structure. The one-way vision and printed film is easily attachable onto a smooth and transparent substrate like glass.

  • Patent number: 8345076
Abstract: A material marking method includes: generating a code; randomly selecting at least one area of the material; and marking by laser shot on the surface of, or inside the material in each the area of the material to represent the code there in a way that cannot be detected by the naked eye. Preferentially, the randomly selecting step is performed for each item of material to be marked. Preferentially, during the code generating step, a two-dimensional bar code is generated, and during the marking step, the two-dimensional bar code is represented. Preferably, the method includes marking the material in order to represent a mark visible to the naked eye, at least one part of a marking area of a mark visible to the naked eye is selected randomly and/or the visible mark bears an item of information representative of the position of at least one area where the code that cannot be detected by the naked eye is represented.

  • Patent number: 8337472
Abstract: A sheath remover device is of elongate tubular form having a sheath capture region at one end and a passage along which a captured sheath may pass from the capture region. A plurality of latching fingers, each with an internally directed latch, are equi-spaced in the capture region. Two further inwardly directed latches are on the cut out regions. The sheath remover is designed so that, a sheath already disposed in the sheath capture region is pushed along the passage away from the sheath capture region when the remover is offered up to and engages the subsequent sheath. The spacing of the latches and is such that the earlier sheath is not released from latches until the latches have securely engaged in the subsequent sheath, thereby providing an indication of secure engagement of the subsequent sheath. The sheath remover may also be used as a cap and/or a cocking rod.

  • Patent number: 8339486
Abstract: A solid-state imaging apparatus 10 includes a solid-state imaging device 40, and a color filter 16 constituted of a first color filter 16a (first filter) and a second color filter 16b (second filter). The solid-state imaging device 40 photoelectrically converts light incident to a face S1 (first face) thereof to thereby capture an image of an object to be imaged. Arranged on the face S1 of the solid-state imaging device 40 is the first color filter 16a and second color filter 16b. The first color filter 16a is a filter that allows first wavelength band light to be selectively transmitted therethrough; the second color filter 16b is a filter that allows second wavelength band light in the longer wavelength side relative to the first wavelength band to be selectively transmitted therethrough.
