Patent number: 4479093Abstract: An amplifier (10) is disclosed including circuity for improving the amplifiers performance, particularly the common mode rejection of differential amplifiers, by adding the amplifier input signal to the power supply signals which power the amplifier. Voltage dividers (42, 44) are connected between the amplifier output (16) and each of the two power supply rails (26, 28). Each divider includes resistors (46, 48; 50, 52) selected so that the amplifier output is divided down by a factor equal to the gain of the amplifier. The junction signals (V.sub.J1, V.sub.J2) provided by the two voltage dividers thus each includes a component equal to the input signal. The junction voltages are applied to the amplifier power input terminals (18, 20) by respective transistors (60, 62), each connected in a voltage follower arrangement. Patent number: 4477067Abstract: A method and apparatus for assembling newspapers which have a jacket and a plurality of inserts within the jacket are disclosed. The apparatus includes a circular array of stations and a rotor carrying a plurality of pockets which move below the stations. A two-speed transmission is provided so that the rotor can be driven at either of two speeds. At each station there is a hopper for feeding a jacket or insert into the pockets as they move below. The jacket feeding stations are grouped into a group of two or more adjacent stations. The insert feeding stations are likewise grouped into groups of adjacent stations having two or more in each group. All groups have the same number of stations and the stations in each group all feed an identical jacket or insert. In addition there is a single opener station for opening jackets before inserts are fed into the jackets and a single delivery station for each group of jacket feeding stations. The pockets are formed between an inner side surface of the sheet of fabric and a plurality of strands of material. The support rods are used to hold the fabric in place while a slurry of a cementitious material is poured into a cavity between the sheet of fabric and a base. The cementitious slurry flows between the strands of material into the support rod receiving pockets. The resulting concrete structure extends around the support rods to prevent them from being exposed to the environment.
