  • Patent number: 8220614
Abstract: An apparatus and method of transporting food products to a loading station having a cooling conveyor that selectively drops food product into a distributor. The distributor separates product into at least two lanes and drops product onto a conveyor. A balancing and diverting conveyor monitors and counts product in each lane and diverts product selectively based upon the sensed product. An orienter transfers product from a loading conveyor to a buffer conveyor. The buffer conveyor transfers product to a main conveyor which transfers product to a loading head.

  • Patent number: 8221291
Abstract: Athletic equipment is provided including sensors to monitor the effectiveness and health of the athlete. Contact sensors identify stresses or impacts in real time, and interactively, during the training or competition. Concurrently, a health sensor, obtaining and transmitting indicia corresponding to the physical condition of the athlete (such as heart rate, blood pressure, etc.) can be communicated simultaneously and synchronously with the monitored stress or impact date for use in optimizing athlete performance or monitoring athlete physiology. Such data can be transmitted to a remote location as well. In either case, such information can provide a system for optimizing athlete performance, rather merely tracking historical information. Real time analysis and physiological-performance correlations can be achieved, thereby minimizing the need, or extend of an iterative training regime.

  • Patent number: 8202058
Abstract: A variable displacement axial piston machine. The variable displacement axial piston machine includes a cylinder block with at least one main cylinder and main piston, a swash plate, a plunger arrangement with a plunger and auxiliary cylinder, and a sensor. The swash plate is arranged to effect movement of the main piston in the main cylinder upon rotation of the swash plate relative to the cylinder arrangement. The plunger is arranged to tilt the swash plate relative to the cylinder arrangement and to control a stroke of the main cylinder in the main piston. To provide a simple and reliable measurement of displacement of the main piston in the main cylinder, the invention provides a sensor element which is fixed in the auxiliary cylinder and which is adapted to sense movement of the plunger therein.

  • Patent number: 8176734
Abstract: A hydrostatic transmission having a hydraulic pump that is fluidly connected to a hydraulic motor. The transmission also has a pressure control valve that has first and second stages and is fluidly connected to the hydraulic pump. By utilizing the pressure control valve when the first stage of the pressure control is at a minimum pressure the second stage determines the minimum charge pressure setting for the hydrostatic transmission.

  • Patent number: 8156738
Abstract: The invention relates to a hydrostatic transmission having two bent axis- or swashplate-type axial piston units which are operated alternately as a pump and as a motor, with the two axial piston units being adjustable together with a pivotable dual yoke or by means of a pivotable dual swashplate. In order to minimize the dead volumes of the two axial piston units, the rotational axes of the two axial piston power units are offset with respect to the pivot axis of the dual yoke or of the swashplate by a magnitude such that, at all pivot angles, the power unit pistons, at dead center, are located in the direct vicinity of the bore end of the cylinder block.

  • Patent number: 8146309
Abstract: A plastic extruded member is provided which will induce cracks in concrete and provide drainage for moisture entering the cracks. The member includes a base which sets upon the subgrade surface, with a pair of legs extending upwardly from the base. Arms extend laterally outwardly from each leg. As extruded, the legs are adjacent one another, and then spread apart as the concrete cures and shrinks, thereby inducing a substantially vertical crack in the concrete above the legs. The member includes a drain channel at the lower end of the legs. The gap between the legs which is created by the shrinking cured concrete provides a path from the crack to the drain channel for draining water entering the crack.
