Abstract: A set of servers can support secure and efficient “Machine to Machine” communications using an application interface and a module controller. The set of servers can record data for a plurality of modules in a shared module database. The set of servers can (i) access the Internet to communicate with a module using a module identity, (i) receive server instructions, and (iii) send module instructions. Data can be encrypted and decrypted using a set of cryptographic algorithms and a set of cryptographic parameters. The set of servers can (i) receive a module public key with a module identity, (ii) authenticate the module public key, and (iii) receive a subsequent series of module public keys derived by the module with a module identity. The application interface can use a first server private key and the module controller can use a second server private key.
Abstract: Systems and designs for tuning a wireless power transfer system are provided, which may include any number of features. In one embodiment, a wireless power transfer system can be configured such that resonant frequencies of the system move towards an operating frequency of the system as a coupling coefficient between the transmit and receive resonators becomes smaller. In another embodiment, a receive controller can be configured to control a current delivered to a DC load by comparing an actual current at the DC load to a current requested by the DC load and adjusting an angle or a magnitude of a voltage at the DC load to match the requested current. In another embodiment, a rectifier circuit can act as a controlled voltage source and be configured to tune resonant frequencies between the transmit resonator and the receive resonator. Methods of use are also provided.

Abstract: An electronic inertial measurement unit (IMU) coupled to headtracking headphones. The IMU may track any movement of the user's head, such as the pitch, yaw, roll angles, acceleration, and elevation and record this information as position data. The position data may be transmitted to tools that use routing schemes contained within authoring applications to decode user orientation and create high quality interactive multichannel biphonic audio without any additional processing or filtering. If horizontal, vertical, and tilt orientating audio is required, the MI emitters may be moved around (giving them x,y,z coordinates) within a cube representing a three dimensional space to generate “M1 Cube Format” audio. For horizontal orienting audio, fewer mono bus outputs may be used to generate “M1 Cube Format” audio.

Abstract: One system includes a stimulation device such as a vagus nerve stimulation lead, and a controller for controlling the stimulation device according to a set of stimulation parameters. A memory of the stimulation device contains a state transition model, and for each state defines a set of stimulation parameters and at least one expected response during the application of stimulation with the parameters. A matrix determines the transition rules between states based on physiological levels measured versus target levels. A state transition control unit determines, in an organized timely method, possible transitions between states according to the rules on physiological levels obtained in response to the implementation of the stimulation parameters of the current state, and a transition from a current state to a new state causes a corresponding change in the parameter set used for stimulation.

Abstract: An implantable connector utilizing having improved electrical and mechanical properties is described herein. In one aspect, the implantable connector utilizes electrical contact pins fabricated from a corrosion resistant metal alloy, such as platinum-iridium, that engage longitudinally and include one or more urging members on a proximal portion of the pin so as to provide at least a desired contact force between conductively coupled pins. Such a configuration allows contact between contact pins to be maintained in applications where the connector may be subject to movement and further allows for reduced resistance so as to allow transmission of voltages and current associated with higher powered implanted devices. In some embodiments, the urging member is defined as a helical cut potion in one or both electrical contacts. Methods of use and manufacture of such connectors are also provided herein.

Abstract: In MIMO communication, a communication device is provided that transmits a transfer rate request signal while reducing it and reducing the interference and power consumption when the transfer rate request signal is transmitted substantially without lowering the transmission efficiency. A modulation encoding unit encodes and modulates transmission data transmitted to a communication partner and the transfer rate request signal is the plurality of transmission antennas. A transmission unit and a transmission antenna transmit a signal from the modulation encoding unit. A transmission control unit controls transmission of a signal transmitted from the transmission antenna and transmits a transfer rate request signal of one transmission antenna via the transmission antenna according to a comparison result between a difference of the transfer rate request signal in the respective transmission antenna of the communication partner and a predetermined value.

Abstract: In a networked multi computer environment with redundant links, network interface cards (NICs) are commonly duplicated and teamed to provide a recovery mechanism when network components fail. Embodiments of the present inventions avoid teaming of pairs of NICs and provide a computing host with redundant network connections for the computing host through a switch that is transparent to the computing host. The computing host itself; that is, its hardware and software, is relieved of the duty of network access redundancy and returned to the simple, simplex networking operating mode. The switch replaces a potentially large number of NICs and the need for computing host network access redundancy management which leads to hardware and software cost reductions and increases the robustness and reliability of the system through redundant network access.
