  • Patent number: 11006828
Abstract: Described is a system, method and apparatus for measuring a vibrational response in an eye for determination of ocular parameters such as intraocular pressure, corneal elasticity and scleral pressure. The method comprises positioning an air jet nozzle to direct an excitation stimulus at a single frequency to the apex of the eye along the optical axis of the eye; positioning a sensor to direct incident light at a fixed position of the eye distinct from the apex of the eye; exciting vibration in the eye with the excitation stimulus; directing incident light from the sensor to the fixed position of the eye; and detecting backscatter light from the eye with the sensor, to measure the vibrational response. Algorithms are used to calculate the ocular pressure from the vibrational response of the cornea or sclera. The method does not require contact with the eye, and is reliable and accurate.

  • Publication number: 20210143313
Abstract: A novel and useful modified semiconductor fabrication technique for realizing reliable semiconductor quantum structures. Quantum structures require a minimization of the parasitic capacitance of the control gate and the quantum well. The modified semiconductor process eliminates the fabrication of the metal, contact, and optionally the raised diffusion layers from the quantum wells, thereby resulting in much lower well and gate capacitances and therefore larger Coulomb blockade voltages. This allows easier implementation of the electronic control circuits in that they can have larger intrinsic noise and relaxed analog resolution. Several processes are disclosed including implementations of semiconductor quantum structures with tunneling through an oxide layer as well as tunneling through a local well depleted region. These techniques can be used in both planar semiconductor processes and 3D, e.g., FinFET, semiconductor processes. A dedicated process masking step is used for realizing the raised diffusions.

  • Patent number: 11001593
Abstract: The present invention relates to a dinitroxide biradical compound of general formula (I): In formula (I), A is a carbon, an ammonium, or a phosphonium; each of A1 to A6 is a single bond, O, N, N(O), S, S(O), SO2, C(O), or a (C1-C4) alkyl chain; and Z1 and Z2 are selected from R1 and R2 in combination, so that there is always at least one R2 group that is substituted with R3 group. In Z1 and Z2, R1 is an H, an aryl, or a heteroaryl; R2 is an alkyl chain, an alkenyl chain, an alkynyl chain, a cycloalkyl, a heterocycloalkyl, an aryl, or a heteroaryl; and R3 is an alkyl chain, an alkenyl chain, an alkynyl chain, a cycloalkyl, a heterocycloalkyl, an aryl, a heteroaryl, an ether, an ester, or an azide. When Z1 and Z2 are combined together with the same carbon atom of the nitroxide ring to which they are bonded, they form a spirocycloalkyl or a spiroheterocycloalkyl, the spirocycloalkyl or the spiroheterocycloalkyl being substituted with R3.

  • Patent number: 10997964
Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable storage devices are for normalizing text for ASR and TTS in a language-neutral way. The system described herein divides Unicode text into meaningful chunks called “atomic tokens.” The atomic tokens strongly correlate to their actual pronunciation, and not to their meaning. The system combines the tokenization with a data-driven classification scheme, followed by class-determined actions to convert text to normalized form. The classification labels are based on pronunciation, unlike alternative approaches that typically employ Named Entity-based categories. Thus, this approach is relatively simple to adapt to new languages. Non-experts can easily annotate training data because the tokens are based on pronunciation alone.
