Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention may be used to perform measurement of surfaces, such as external and internal surfaces of the human body, in full-field and in 3-D. Embodiments of the present invention may include an electromagnetic radiation source, which may be configured to project electromagnetic radiation onto a surface. The electromagnetic radiation source may be configured to project the electromagnetic radiation in a pattern corresponding to a spatial signal modulation algorithm. The electromagnetic radiation source may also be configured to project the electromagnetic radiation at a frequency suitable for transmission through the media in which the radiation is projected. An image sensor may be configured to capture image data representing the projected pattern.
Abstract: Compositions, peptide solutions and macroscopic scaffolds of self-assembling peptides consisting essentially of non-ionic, polar amino acids are provided. Particular peptides include those comprising or consisting essentially of serine, threonine, tyrosine, cysteine, glutamine, asparagine, methionine, tryptophan, hydroxy-proline, and combinations thereof. Methods of sterilizing the self-assembling peptides, and scaffolds comprising the peptides are also provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides peptide compositions (e.g., of self-assembling peptides) with particular attributes (e.g., peptide identity, peptide concentration, pH, ionic strength [including salt identity and/or concentration), etc. that show particularly useful material properties. Abstract: A process for creating a production specification for a customized eyeglass frame for a patient includes the following steps. A library is accessed having fully parameterized standardized models for characterizing a plurality of eyeglass frame styles. The models are configured to accept a plurality of customization inputs including patient biometric data. A customized model of an eyeglass frame is then constructed by populating the fully parameterized standardized model corresponding to the eyeglass frame style selected by the patient with the customization inputs for the patient. An output is generated from the customized model, the output corresponding to the production specification for the customized eyeglass frame.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for cleaning and recycling stack gas from coal-fired power plants, from natural or propane burning heating plants, or from cement kilns by using renewable catalysts of zeolite to separate pollutants into recyclable and reusable materials. The method reduces from the stack gas carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur oxide (SOx) as well as halogens such as chloride and fluorides and trace metals particularly, mercury, lead, and zinc. The method and apparatus also result in production of fertilizer products by purging with gaseous or liquid nitrogen the zeolite beds through which the stack gas flows. The oxygen generated may be recycled to the burners in the plant.
