Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, the color resolution of a first image display screen is increased by assembling the first display screen with a second image display screen in an overlaid manner. Transmissive color filter elements are provided associated with addressable sub-pixels of the display screens. A first set of sub-pixels of the first screen and a second set of sub-pixels of the second screen are cooperatively addressed to display an image pixel of the display assembly, where the first set of sub-pixels addressed is spatially offset from the second set of sub-pixels addressed along the planar surfaces of the display screens. The exemplary display assembly formed by the display screens thereby enables the use of more than three colors to define a broadened color space relative to that defined by the display screens separately.

A charge pump may be included which is adapted to receive the high voltage high frequency PWM signal and increase a voltage of the signal. A gas discharge tube may be coupled to the charge pump. A controller may be coupled to the power conditioning and control module and adapted to operate the gas discharge tube at two or more light intensity levels with the low voltage high frequency PWM signal.
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide devices, systems and methods that enable viewing of three-dimensional images on an autostereoscopic display using a barrier grid of dynamically configurable grid characteristics. The barrier grid is configurable to include alternating light-transmitting and light-blocking portions that may be characterized by and configured using a set of one or more grid indicia. The cooperative display of an image on an image display device and the dynamically configurable barrier grid enables autostereoscopic 3D and 4D viewing of images.
Abstract: A three-dimensional camera rig includes multiple lenses located along a mounting mechanism, where the multiple lenses are separated at an interocular distance along the mounting mechanism necessary to capture a three-dimensional image capable of distribution, and where the three-dimensional image is viewable in a plurality of formats.
Abstract: The invention relates to a cigarette paper dispenser comprising a substantially cylindrical body (1) with a coaxial cylindrical cavity, having a longitudinal slit (11) that extends along the generatrix the entire length of the body (1), allowing the passage of paper unrolled from the roll. The cylindrical body (1) is closed at the bases thereof by means of two caps (3) and (4). The aforementioned slit (41) is closed by a lid (2) articulated longitudinally with the periphery of the body (1) and having a semi-circumferential configuration with a profiled free edge (21) forming a sharp, cutting or serrated edge that is positioned adjacent to one end of the roll of paper, the desired length of which is extracted axially and cut from the roll.

Abstract: There is provided a bioabsorbable peptide tissue occluding agent that can be applied to large mammals including humans, the peptide tissue occluding agent being obtained by artificial synthesis to avoid concerns of infection by viruses and the like. The tissue occluding agent contains a peptide, wherein the peptide is an amphiphilic peptide having 8-200 amino acid residues with the hydrophilic amino acids and hydrophobic amino acids alternately bonded, and is a self-assembling peptide exhibiting a ?-structure in aqueous solution in the presence of physiological pH and/or a cation.
Abstract: The invention relates to a material for wound healing and skin reconstruction containing a peptide, wherein the peptide is a self-assembling peptide which is an amphiphilic peptide having 8 to 200 amino acid residues with periodic repeats of alternating hydrophilic amino acids and hydrophobic amino acids, and forms a stable ?-sheet structure in an aqueous solution in the presence of a monovalent ion. The material for wound healing and skin reconstruction of the present invention is capable of healing a wound area of mammals quicker than spontaneous recovery without leaving any scars, wherein the material has no potential risk of infectious disease such as virus transmission.
Abstract: A method and a device for use in calibrating a projector image display towards a display screen, wherein the display screen is equipped with a plurality of discrete light detection points on or in the front surface of the screen, or located immediately below the front surface, wherein each light detection point or groups thereof are associated with a light detector, wherein at least one image is projected towards the display screen, and wherein it is determined which image pixel or pixels of the projected image hit the respective detection point on the screen, and/or wherein brightness and/or colours in the projected image are correlated by comparing measurements at the detection points and relevant projector parameters are adjusted correspondingly.
Abstract: The invention proposes a method for displaying an image based navigation route corridor for 3D view on mobile platforms for mobile users. The invention comprises the combination of some technical solutions. 1. Display of a relevant area around a selected or calculated route (route corridor). 2. Selection of the relevant area that is a small dataset. 3. Creation of the customized route corridor dataset. 4. Provide 3D viewers ability to allow the display of the created route corridor in 2D, isometric view, or 3D perspective and then allow 3D maneuverability over the created route corridor. Combination of these technical solutions comprises a method of facilitating the display of the route corridor on mobile computing platform in 3D perspective.

Abstract: The present invention relates to computer graphics. This method allows efficient real-time 3D rendering of high-detail smooth surfaces. It is exceptionally effective with software rendering and low-end weaker graphics accelerators, and provides excellent visible quality per the amount of polygons used, while retaining low CPU processing overhead and high efficiency on graphics hardware. Also, it can be used under very restrictive memory requirements. In particular the invention relates to real time rendering of extremely detailed smooth surfaces with view-dependent tessellation using an improved level of detail approach. The invention utilizes a quad-tree map and geometric boundaries consisting of manifold non-self-intersecting surfaces. All cached fragments keep all of the information loaded from their corresponding source nodes in system memory, and additional information computed by the rendering system.
Abstract: Dynamic visualization of image data provided through a network communications channel is performed by a client system including a parcel request subsystem and a parcel rendering subsystem. The parcel request subsystem includes a parcel request queue and is operative to request discrete image data parcels in a priority order and to store received image data parcels in a parcel data store. The parcel request subsystem is responsive to an image parcel request of assigned priority to place the image parcel request in the parcel request queue ordered in correspondence with the assigned priority. The parcel rendering subsystem is coupled to the parcel data store to selectively retrieve and render received image data parcels to a display memory. The parcel rendering system provides the parcel request subsystem with the image parcel request of the assigned priority.
Abstract: The invention pertains to an image processing device, in particular a device for stereoscopic image processing, and to a coherence detector used thereon. The image processing device can process stereoscopic images in real time and can be implemented with simple means and low expense. Two alternative embodiments of the coherence detector are disclosed. The image signals can be processed at the speed that they are supplied by image receivers, and thus image data processing is possible to attain depth information with little expense and in real time.
