  • Publication number: 20040064234
Abstract: A correction device determines, by calculation, a real acceleration based on output from a velocity sensor 4. GPS mediated signal receiving portion 2 receives radio navigation waves from plural GPS satellites. The device detects a frequency change of the radio waves evoked as a result of Doppler effect, acquires horizontal and vertical velocity components based on the frequency change, and determines, by calculation, a gradient angle. Then, the device determines, by calculation, the gravitational acceleration sine of the gradient angle (G. sin &thgr;). The device adds the real acceleration and the gravitational acceleration sine of the gradient angle (G. sin &thgr;) to provide a theoretical acceleration of the acceleration sensor. The device divides the theoretical acceleration of the acceleration sensor with the sensitivity of the acceleration sensor 6, and subtracts the result from output from the acceleration sensor 6, to provide a right offset value.

  • Publication number: 20040061522
Abstract: A digital level shift circuit includes a level shifting device such as a high voltage MOS device and can also include feedback circuitry. The level shifting device is turned on to make an output transition, and the feedback circuitry obtains a feedback or acknowledge signal indicating that the transition was made. In response, the feedback circuitry turns off the level shifting device, which can reduce power dissipation. A digital level shift circuit that includes two n-channel devices and two p-channel devices can also include sense/prevent circuitry that senses when current greater than a threshold flows through both devices of one channel type and, in response, prevents output transitions from being made, which can avoid false transmissions due to rapid changes in offset voltage. Control circuitry in a digital level shift circuit can include both feedback circuitry and sense-prevent circuitry.

  • Patent number: 6707712
Abstract: A cell in a structural phase-change memory is programmed by raising cell voltage and cell current to programming threshold levels, and then lowering these to quiescent levels below their programming levels. A precharge pulse is then applied which raises the bitline voltage of the selected cell and does not raise the cell voltage and cell current to their programming levels. Then, the cell current is raised to a read level which is below the programming threshold level, and the bitline voltage is compared to a reference voltage while the cell current is at the read level.

  • Patent number: 6708032
Abstract: A channel hand-off control mechanism for a cellular communication network uses the same channels employed for communications between base stations of adjacent cells and a mobile transceiver, as the mobile transceiver moves between those cells, in order to locate the mobile transceiver relative to the base stations, so that the acquiring base station may readily place a narrowbeam channel on the mobile transceiver at hand-off. Each base station employs a phased array antenna, which allows the base station to controllably define its antenna coverage pattern with respect to any mobile transceiver, so as to minimize interference from one or more other transceivers, reducing frequency reuse distance.

  • Patent number: 6706579
Abstract: The manufacturing method of the invention is applied to production of a semiconductor device including a memory area and a logic circuit area. The method patterns a stopper layer and a first conductive layer in the memory area, while patterning the stopper layer and the first conductive layer in the logic circuit area to create a dummy gate layer on an element separating region in the logic circuit area. The method forms an ONO membrane over the whole surface of the memory area and the logic circuit area, and further forms a second conductive layer above the ONO membrane. The method carries out anisotropic etching of the second conductive layer, so as to form control gates as side walls via the ONO membrane on both side faces of the first conductive layer in at least the memory area.
