Abstract: A air channeling sub-system may include a mechanical cooling section and a direct evaporative cooling section. The direct evaporative cooling section may be downstream from the mechanical cooling section. Cooling air is channeled through the air channeling sub-system and into the room. If a first set of control conditions is met, the air channeling sub-systems is operated in an adiabatic mode. The adiabatic mode includes channeling cooling air through the direct evaporative cooling section to evaporate water into the cooling air. If a second set of control conditions is met, the air channeling sub-system is operated in a hybrid mode. The hybrid mode includes channeling cooling air through the mechanical cooling section to remove heat from the cooling air and channeling the cooling air through the direct evaporative cooling section to evaporate water into the cooling air.

Abstract: A contaminant is removed from a gas in a method in which the gas is contacted with a solvent for the contaminant, and the resultant solution is contacted with intercalated graphite onto which the contaminant is adsorbed. The solvent will normally comprise water, and may itself be a contaminated liquid. In a preferred method the solvent is in a reservoir with particulate intercalated graphite; the contaminated gas is delivered to the base of the reservoir; and the gas rises in the solvent mobilizing the intercalated graphite in the reservoir.
Abstract: A dual-gate normally-off nitride transistor that includes a first gate structure formed between a source electrode and a drain electrode for controlling a normally-off channel region of the dual-gate normally-off nitride transistor. A second gate structure is formed between the first gate structure and the drain electrode for modulating a normally-on channel region underneath the second gate structure. The magnitude of the threshold voltage of the second gate structure is smaller than the drain breakdown of the first gate structure for proper operation of the dual-gate normally-off nitride transistor.
Abstract: A trench MOSFET with split gates and diffused drift region for on-resistance reduction is disclosed. Each of the split gates is symmetrically disposed in the middle of the source electrode and adjacent trench sidewall of a deep trench. The inventive structure can save a mask for definition of the location of the split gate electrodes. Furthermore, the fabrication method can be implemented more reliably with lower cost.
Abstract: A method and apparatus may be used for supporting multiple hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) processes per transmission time interval (TTI). A transmitter and a receiver may include a plurality of H-ARQ processes. Each H-ARQ process may transmit and receive one TB per TTI. The transmitter may generate a plurality of TBs and assign each TB to a H-ARQ process. The transmitter may send control information for each TB, which may include H-ARQ information associated TBs with the TBs. The transmitter may send the TBs using the associated H-ARQ processes simultaneously per TTI. After receiving the TBs, the receiver may send feedback for each of the H-ARQ processes and associated TBs indicating successful or unsuccessful receipt of each of the TBs to the transmitter. The feedback for multiple TBs may be combined for the simultaneously transmitted H-ARQ processes, (i.e., TBs). When MIMO is implemented, one H-ARQ process may be associated with one MIMO stream, or codeword.

Abstract: An APS readout circuit includes a pixel sensing unit, an integrating unit, and a voltage offset unit. The pixel sensing unit senses an X-ray irradiation amount to obtain a current signal in varying. The current signal is obtained by subtracting a sensing current in varying from a base current. The integrating unit is coupled with the pixel sensing unit to receive the current signal and convert the current signal into a voltage signal. The integrating unit includes a short circuit switch with a switch-on state for resetting the integrating unit and a switch-off state for directly outputting the current signal. The voltage offset unit is connected to an output terminal of the integrating unit and generates an offset voltage. In a sampling period, a base voltage of the voltage signal output from the pixel sensing unit is substantially removed by the offset voltage. An amplified sensing voltage is then obtained.
