Abstract: A system and method for authenticating a face mask with a user for providing secure access to a user device whereby received on the user device is a request from the user to pair a user face mask having a pre-printed unique identifier with the user device for user authentication purposes. The user device captures an image of the pre-printed unique identifier on the user face mask so as to associate the captured image of the unique identifier with the user device. Afterwards, when the user requests access to the user device in a locked state, the user device is caused to capture of an image of the unique identifier affixed to the user face mask. The user device may further be caused to capture an image of at least a portion of the user's face to authenticate the captured unique identifier affixed to the user face mask with the captured portion of the user's face to verify the captured unique identifier and the captured portion of the user's face are associated with the user device.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a valve assembly with an unbalanced seal between sealing components of the valve assembly. For a gate valve assembly, an upstream seat may have a different outer diameter than a downstream seat, thereby creating an unbalanced seal with the gate. By increasing the sealing surface of the downstream gate/seat interface and by decreasing the sealing surface of the upstream gate/seat interface, the gate/seat interface may seal at lower pressures. A bidirectional seal is also disclosed that may prevent grease or sand from entering a cavity of the seat/pocket insert interface and assists with controlling the pressures and torque on the valve assembly.

Abstract: A computer-implemented labeling technique generates a task description that describes a labeling task to be given to a language model. The technique then sends a prompt to the language model, which includes the task description and a particular item to be labeled. The technique receives a response provided by the language model in response to the prompt, which specifies a class assigned by the language model to the item. In some implementations, the task description specifies a group of suggested classes to be used in classifying the particular item. The task description also invites the language model to specify another class upon a finding that none of the group of suggested classes applies to the item. The technique also allows a user to stop and restart a labeling run at any point in the labeling run. Other aspects of the technique include consensus processing and weight updating.
